I have one Basal on my cheek. It is smaller than a pencil eraser. It has been diagnosed by my regular doctor and I will see the dermatologist only in March. In the past the same dermatologist took out 3 or 4 AKs with liquid nitrogen and that worked just great.

My doctor believes he will just do the same thing for the Basal. Does that make sense? And if so is that a "bad" treatment?

In general what is wrong with the treatments doctors have to offer? Why is everyone looking for different solutions?

I am in Canada and there is no cost involved to be treated by a doctor. But in general I try to avoid the doctors and to take care of myself with natural non-toxic ways. But for skin cancer it may make sense to just trust a specialist no?
