I'd appreciate hearing people's thoughts who've used the petty spurge. I'm on day 3 of applying the sap to a 2 1/2 year old squamous cell AND basal cell tumor above my upper lip (a twofer one.) It's puffy dime-sized area. It puffed up more from the sap, got a little red and developed a thin scab that I pulled off a few times and kept covered with a poultice of the crushed leaves and a band-aid. The scab was not on the whole puffy area, it was just on 2 tiny red eruptions that popped up 8 months ago. Nor did the whole puffy area turn red.

Then there's a strip of bumpy, red, NON-puffy irritated skin about the length & width of band-aid adhesive that extends 1 3/4" from the puffy area to the crease at the end of my mouth (smile line.) Could be a rash to the bandaid but it's not on the other side,& when I tested a spot on my hand, no reaction at all. Bumpy like a rash, but only on one side....more cancer? rash?

Even on the little eruptions, there's NO MAJOR SCABBING, NO OOZING, NO PEPPERONI, no real action. I'm bummed, I want this to work! SHOULD I PUT MORE SAP ON? I put the crushed leaves poultice on 3 X/day and sap twice a day, but still not much is happening other than stinging, the redness, minor scabbing and rash-like stinging area I described.

I'm most worried that the sap hasn't spread over the whole puffy area since that's clearly from the tumor. Wondering if my plants have weak sap? Is it important to take the sap from the main stem? But that reduces the # of times you can use a plant, while if you take it from the smaller branches at the top, you get more shots at it. Like other people, I'm trying to conserve the plants: I have other spots to treat.

DO YOU THINK THE LITTLE BRANCHES AT THE TOP OF THE PLANTS HAVE SAP THAT"S WEAKER THAN THE MAIN STEM? Or is it possible that the tumor is somehow partly dead or encased? Please reply if you have any experience with this or know about apoptosis, etc.....

I really like Nexcare gentle paper tape. Are the bumps on the bottom side or top side of the band-aid? If they are on the down side maybe the ps juice is running along the edge and irritating the skin. I used diferent types of tape and also got itchy or bumps. The ps reacted by the third day or sooner. I noticed when alternating between ps and curaderm, the ps was more swollen but had a whole, with the curaderm the skin would come off but the whole would close up.No I don't think the little branches at the top are weaker. Don't you hate it that once you pick off a leaf or steam the whole branch gets less sap. I think you need about 5 or more plants to treat skin cancer. Ive decimated mine several times, but luckily I just go out side and find some more. I tried crushing the whole plant and putting it in 3 diferent oils. Its in my frig I will check it soon to see if it works.

Marsha,

Sorry for multiple emails, I don't know whether I sent your reply to the whole list or whether this is going to you or the whole list. Anyway, it waas intended for you, and apologies if you were emailing me privately.

The petty spurge oil is an interesting idea. Are you using fresh or dried leaves and stems? It would be gentler than the fresh sap, depending on how much plant material you put in the oil and might hold some people over the winter if they can't keep the plants going. There are recipes online but not for PS. But that may be out there, too--I just haven't spent much time looking for it. Can you post to the whole list and let people know your recipe and how you're using it? Most sites say to keep it for 6 - 8 weeks and to be careful about its getting moldy. I don't know if the mold is visible.

However mean your life is,meet it and live it ;do not shun it and call it hard names. It is not so bad as you are.It looks poorest when you are richest. The fault-finder will find faults in paradise.Love your life, poor as it is. http://www.uggsinboots.com/ You may perhaps have some pleasant, thrilling, glorious hourss, even in a poor-house.The setting sun is reflected from the windows of the alms-house as brightly as from the rich man's abode;the snow melts before its door as early in the spring.I do not see but a quiet mind may live as contentedly there, and have as cheering thoughts,as in a palace. The town's poor seem to me often to live the most independent lives of any.May be they are simply great enough to receive without misgiving. Most think that they are above being supported by the town;but it often happens that they are not above supporting themselves by dishonest means.which should be more disreputable.Cultivate poverty like a garden herb, like sage.Do not trouble yourself much to get new things, whether clothes or friends,Turn the old<,return to them.Things do not change;we change.Sell your clothes and keep your thoughts.
