hi, four yrs ago a dog jumped on me and ripped open the side of my nose along nostril upward. it cleaned it, but it never healed & kept getting biiger, it would bleed. my husband said i had cancer & would i use blood root to heal it. three yrs went by, the open wound was the size of nickel almost, bleeding. i was really diswrought. one day a man said i had cancer & handed me bloodroot paste he made. i used it & went into shock; i used too much. little did i know. husband ordered sauve from oregon, full of oilive oil. i had washed the bloodroot out and a far amount of cancer came out. i put vaseline petroleum jelly on it , which i was told to do. ok, then once the sauve from oregon came~ risingsun health, bla-can b.s. , i redid it. very little came out after three days, ok so did the vaseline thing for a wk. that was one yr ago. the skin healed real nice. two mths ago, a small sliver appeared, then a little hole above that. i treated with the bla-can three days, vaseline etc. nothing the pain after that was tremdous. today as i write, this is my second day of excroociating pain with the homemade stuff. pain under eye, above and along side eye, over to jaw. i know i have to get the cancer out.
question, how many days should i do this ? torture. i'm 100lbs, 5'7", sic can't eat, hard to breath. hope to get husband to get the pain management pills on the forum. thanks for listening. pray for me, laura

Hey laura, it is difficult to offer any advice but I can pray for you. It is not unusual for cancer to appear at a previous wound. The theory is that stem cells involved in the healing can be genetically damaged and turn into cancer, especially if there were complications or infections that extend their active mode.

It appears you are using Bla-Can Black Salve http://bloodrootproducts.com/Black-Salve-C1.html The ingredients (Bloodroot, Chaparral, Chaga Mushroom, Yellow Dock Root, Calendula, Red Clover Flower, Sheep Sorrel, DMSO, Zinc Chloride (20-30%), Essential Oils of Evening Primrose, Olive Oil, Neem Oil, Pine Tar and Bees Wax) appear to be very potent but bloodroot causes unrelenting pain. I would rather try something that did not cause so much pain, or at least had only temporary pain. Alternate ideas include petty spurge sap (grow from seeds), orange oil (is painful but only for 25 minutes), topical pancreatin enzymes and ammonia (Cymilium), Curaderm BEC5 derived from eggplant (maybe better with DMSO), or see a doctor. I wish you the best whatever you choose!

hi, i will continue on with the homemade bloodroot sauve no matter the great pain. it seems since the pain goes so far away from the opening, it's got to come out. and today is only day three. i'm new at this and am now reading all the posts and so much info. glad we're here for each other.

I hope you are feeling better.

There is a thread on bloodroot pain management at http://www.topicalinfo.org/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=68 The recommendation there was (prescription) tramadol http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tramadol which acts similar to codeine.

You might also consider topical ibuprofen. There are commercial creams available or one can make their own by breaking open a liquid Advil gelcap. Be sure to mix ibuprofen from a gelcap with a skin cream or aloe vera because it is too strong by itself. (Experiment at your own risk.) Topical ibuprofen should last a long time (days) because it will not be removed by the liver quickly.

thank you ! !!! the melanoma is opening up more under my eye so putting the bloodroot there also. (it's really gross looking) main super pain after 4 hrs of application, lasting 3+ horrible hrs, then subsides a bit. able to sleep sum, waking up in daze like. this devil has to come out of my head; am thinking it worked its way back to lower rear brain & jaw. using the warm water & epson salt cloth to ease pain, having husband get the ibuprofen gel & advil gel cap now. thanks Dan! l sis

Brothers and sisters, a cry for help like this is a reminder of one reason we are here in this forum, to help each other with what can be a really SERIOUS problem. Dan is right that at least we can pray for the person asking for help. The forum has much valuable scientific material and by contributing to it with careful reports that others can follow and understand we may also be able to help with cures. Let us remember those who come here looking for help and health.
