Hello, I've been researching natural remedies for skin cancer after being diagnosed in March '09 with a BCC on the side of my nose and cheek area. This was treated as a skin infection at first, and had time to grow from a pencil eraser size to the size of a 50 cent piece before being biopsied. I had trouble finding a derm that would just biopsy a small section, others I went to wanted to cut out the whole thing and surrounding tissue (proceed with surgery).

Of course the derm that finally biopsied it wanted to immediately schedule me for surgery. He was honest with me when I asked about reconstruction and how much permanent damage would result, and said the permanent damage would be extensive because of the affected area and how much would be cut out. I would lose the whole side of my nose, a huge portion of cheek (up to just under my eye, and down to just outside the edge of my mouth) and possibly cut into my sinuses on that side. I declined scheduling surgery and opted to try alternative treatments instead.

In the interest of keeping this focused on the subject line I won't go into what treatments I have used to date in this post.

This cinnamon and honey info was my most recent find for a possible cancer treatment. I actually came across this while researching chronic pain info, and I don't believe in coincidences!!

Anyway, I know that just treating the skin does not address the systemic issue that is allowing cancer cells to thrive anywhere in or on the body. This article addresses both topical applications and oral dosing with cinnamon and honey, although the cancer mentioned for oral treatment is stomach and/or bone cancer.

Skin cancer is not mentioned specifically in topical uses, but "other skin infections", and possibly nobody has reported their success with it topically yet for skin cancer. Perrin's Blend also uses honey as a primary ingredient though, which indicates using honey topically for skin cancer treatment could work.

If something as simple as eating more of two foods I love will help in any way with eliminating or preventing cancer from my body I will definitely try it! Plus, there are several other uses listed that are helpful to have in the natural treatment options arsenal.

Have a blessed day,
Sharon

Hi Sharon;

I could not help but notice that your doctor wanted to cut off half of your nose and part of your face.

(1) there is hope for you with a new topical skin cancer salve, being used now in the Phillipines. Many people with very large bcc cancers are shown being cured, with minimal skin deformities/scarring. They are using a cashew nut hull extract. called DEBCC cream. It has very little pain attached to it .... just some mild stinging, no pain medications are needed. Go to http://www.debcc.com/clinicalphotographs.html

also see the thread about it on this forum: http://www.topicalinfo.org/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=624

(2)...... I wanted to tell you that there is a simple method to kill the cancer without taking any extra healthy skin & flesh. It is called hoxsey salve/bloodroot salve/black & yellow salve/ cancema salve.

It will kill only the cancerized flesh, and leave the healthy flesh. The md's even use it and call it moh's surgery. [ but they do NOT use it in the correct manner, they distort it's use and use it in a stupid, ignorant manner (to increase surgical charges)]

go to http://www.topicalinfo.org/forum/forum.asp?FORUM_ID=1 and research it there. Perhaps you can get a NATUROPATHIC type healer, or herb doctor, to apply it on you; someone with some experience using it. THERE IS QUITE A BIT OF PAIN WITH THIS ONE, at least many people think so.

There is a book written on how to use it:
CANCER SALVES, by Ingrid Naiman, $50 from www.cancersalves.com

(3) also research cannabis oil there (this forum), which mite work with less pain & scarring. I would try this cannabis oil 1st, if you could obtain it.
good luck, drbeckl2

Thank you for your input drbeckl2. I am still reading through the posts you suggested and trying to decide which option to try next.

My spot first appeared in mid-2002 as a small bump that looked like a whitehead. It went away for long periods of time before reappearing, then finally began to slowly grow larger each time it returned.

I tried C-herb first and had no change at all, which according to their literature meant it was something other than skin cancer. It did sting a lot for the first hour or so after applying, but so did the peroxide/H2O solution the derm had me use, as the second thing I tried.

I was told later by a different doc that peroxide kills the good cells as well as the bad ones, so I stopped using it. Since it was then believed to be a skin infection I was prescribed an ointment, which also made no difference.

In the meantime the spot was growing bigger around, a huge hole formed as skin was being eaten away in my face, and it began to seep and sting constantly. I began using an aloe vera and lidocaine gel on it for the pain, which soothed it for a few hours at a time.

From the very beginning the derm would not biopsy a section of it to diagnose, he insisted on fully excising it and the surrounding tissue, then referring me to a plastic surgeon to see how much of the damage could be repaired. I wasn't given much hope for reconstruction, but was supposed to just be happy that the bad tissue was gone. By then I knew enough about those surgeries to know they can be endless, and that giving carte blanche (as he insisted on having) for cutting out the bad part could result in having most of my face removed.

In March of 2009 I finally found a derm who would just biopsy a small section to diagnose, and it came back as basal cell. He then tried to get me to immmediately go for surgery to have one side of my nose and a large section of the cheek removed.

I read about the various treatments others have tried, or are trying in the forums here, and tried the eggplant/vinegar, then the vitamin/mineral trio, and finally the Perrin's Blend.

The seeping has mostly stopped, and the hole is much smaller, about the size of a pencil eraser now, although it continues to spread outward from there in every direction, especially following the planes of my face. It's about the size of a 50 cent piece, in an irregular circular pattern, with the hole off to one side. It itches constantly, and each day a layer of thick skin forms that eventually peels off. There are multiple growths within and at the edges of the area that bleed at the slightest touch, like when applying the aloe formula or cleaning it.

Because of the location it is very difficult to keep any type of substance (like the PB) from sliding off; even using a piece of gauze doesn't keep it from sliding, and tape won't stay in place at that angle.

The itching and stinging make it difficult to get much sleep, although the aloe/lidocaine formula does soothe it for a couple of hours at a time. I can't begin to explain how distressing it is to have open, bleeding, scabbing sores on my face 24/7, although I know from reading posts here that some of you know exactly what that's like. It's incredible how many total strangers will ask, "what happened to your face?", or "what's wrong with your face?" After all this time I'm still not used to being stared at when I go out in public.

Anyway, I appreciate having this forum and all of you who have posted your trials, errors, outcomes, suggestions, successes, and rants:)

I appreciate any input anyone here has for formulas or options that have worked (or haven't worked) for them.

Have a blessed day,
Sharon
