The man that does the blog below had the quote below that on his blog.

http://grouppekurosawa.com/blog/

"I refused to allow the medics to cut off my shoulder basal cell carcinoma because I wanted to try a direct application of methyl jasmonate first. This did not include the use of DMSO. After one day, the lesion is shrinking. Amazing...I love this stuff."

Has anyone heard of this or tried it?

Nice find Ridgeback

The blogger is Dr. Stephen Martin and he has an impressive bio.
Appears he is not healthy right now. Definitely an out of the box non conventional Doc.

Here's a wikipedia link to a lot of good info on Methyl Jasmonate..basically a very refined extract of jasmine oil.. very interesting

Wow..

Going to his site http://grouppekurosawa.com this guy is really all over the map on alternative and cancer fighting ideas.

Here's a blog of his on topical skin cancer treatment and using sonic waves to help the topical penetrate.

Very interesting!

Would love to know more about this. Where do you purchase it or what products has it? Thank you.

You can order MJ from either Steve Martin (see http://cancerprotocol.grouppekurosawa.com/ item #4) or http://www.methyljasmonate.com/ The grouppekurosawa site also had a skin cream called Skin Alive that had MJ in it. If you happen to like jasmine green tea, it is a source of methyl jasmonate, although in very weak and variable amounts. MJ is normally administered through an inhaler, but the second site has a version mixed with DMSO that would be ideal for topical applications.

In addition to the grouppekurosawa site, there is a methyl jasmonate forum thread at http://www.cancerforums.net/about11048.html

Thanks for the info Dan! Notice on Steve Martin's blog site that he is still not well and is behind on his orders.
Found 3 other places to order Methyl Jasmonate beside the 2 you mentioned:

http://www.caymanchem.com/app/template/Product.vm/catalog/9000059/tab/data/a/z

http://www.sigmaaldrich.com/catalog/ProductDetail.do?N4=W341002|ALDRICH&N5=SEARCH_CONCAT_PNO|BRAND_KEY&F=SPEC
(you will have to cut and paste the above link for it to work instead of just clicking as the hyper-link didn't include the whole address)

http://www.bedoukian.com/products/product_for_searches.asp?id=399

the middle and last website are not from nature (ie naturally derived) not sure if the top one is or the ones from grouppe kurosawa or the mj.com website in Australia. They don't say.
will check on pubmed to see if i can figure out what type was used in the published studies for cancer research.

The mj for this study below was purchased at the 2nd link above as you can see from clicking here and then clicking on "materials and methods" on the right hand box in the abstract section. Maybe this might be the best place to order from.

Thanks Ridgebackdogs! Steve Martin's blog site has been one of my favorites for many years. I hope and pray that he makes a strong recovery.

Unfortunately, the 3 sources for methyl jasmonate you listed apparently do not sell to individuals but only institutions, but it still might be worth a try.

I have found something that worked for me. Methyl Jasmonate! It has been around for sometime now, it seems FINALLY much more studies are being done. I took a chance and it WORKED!!! Two sites sell this product they seem to have almost the same domain names.. Check out this Website Methyl-Jasmonate.Com they are located in the USA and they have strict quality control. Forget the company in Australia they get Methy Jamonate from Japan. I would not buy anything from Japan from Crops to Cars seems to be contaminated. GOD BLESS JAPAN! GOD BLESS METHYL JASMONATE Check out Methyl-Jasmonate.Com

Dan, Steve Martin died a while ago. He wasn't an M.D. doctor, he had a Ph.D.

I was thinking for topical use, maybe jasmine oil mixed with a carrier oil (like jojoba) or DMSO might work. http://www.amazon.com/s/?ie=UTF8&keywords=jasmine+oil+pure&tag=googhydr-20&index=aps&hvadid=7248495248&hvpos=1t1&hvexid=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=13830582981462573980&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=b&ref=pd_sl_6jii76u8mg_b

Dan, you might be interested in this post from the new GK blog. It suggests that a long daily fast is very healthy. In your intro to your web site, you recommend limited eating times to allow for a long daily fast. http://grouppekurosawa.blogspot.com/2012/05/snacking-causes-cancer.html
