I have used vit C pwder in the past but found that it did not compeltely knock out my skin problem. Now I am combining vit C with SSKI (a form of iodine).
My story:
I have light brown hair, tend to burn easily if out in the sun for a while. 59 yo woman. Lots of moles and freckles.
In the early 80's while in law school (Stress!) I was diagnosed with BCC. No biopsy, just visual exam and then surgical excision (over my collar bone). It was a pearly, waxey, white lesion that had begun to bleed easily. Classic BCC. Never a recurrance at that site.
Last year, I suddenly started feeling a scabby growth on my face maybe 1/4 inch in diameter. It was flesh colored. Near my nose. I used Subspot Es which got rid of it quickly. But I could see a very small red dot where the scabby part had been. My alternative doctor (actually a well known alternative cancer doctor in NYC, who I have been seeing for almost 20 years for chronic fatigue syndrome) recommends the vit c paste treatment. You make a paste from vit C (ascorbic acid powder) put it on in the a.m., leave it all day; wash it off in the p.m., and reapply paste. Keep it on all night and repeat for a total of 7 days. He also recommends taking 10 caps of pork pancreas (Allergy Research Group brand) 3 times a day on an empty stomach. It must be on an empty stomach. If you take pancreas with food, all it will do is help digest your food. I wait at least 2 hours before/after a meal to take pancreatic enzyme caps. If I wake up in the middle of the night, I get up and take more.
Because my skin was already irritated from the Sunspot, I only used the vit C paste (made from Allergy Research Group ascorbic acid powder) for 4 days and only in the morning. I kept it on all day and night. On the 4th day, I had such burning and inflammation in my entire cheek area that I thought it was enough. I had developed a very deep scab. I let my skin heal on its own (no pulling at the scab) and when the scab finally fell off, my skin was clear.
I had no problems for 6 months. Geez. Another scabby sore, (skin colored) developed near the site of the previous one. This is now Dec. 2011. At this time, I was under alot of stress. Had a good diet but drinking wine on a regular basis. Well, being very busy, I didn't want to have to go around with a blob of vit C paste on my face, so I only used Sunspot, but it didn't take care of it. The scabby part would go away and then come back. I didn't treat it with anything else. Let it get out of hand.
This Spring, 2012, I developed a red open sore, pretty small. But the whole area of my face seemed to have something going on with it. I know you guys want to know about biopsy results, but I don't want to go to a conventional doctor.
I did the vit C treatment, this time for 7 days, sometimes twice a day, but usually just once a day. This time I did not develop the same kind of scab as last year. It seemed more superficial. I did not take this as a good sign! After the scab came off, there was the same scabby sore underneath. I also developed 2 definite little raised bumps below the scabby part. At the same time I did the vit C treatment I was taking lots of pancreas (ARG brand) on an empty stomach.
I started to reappy the vit C paste, thinking I would keep going at it until my skin cleared, layer by layer. Then it occurred to me -- once I develop a scab from the vit C, I could use iodine to soak into the scab and it wouldn't run all over my face. So after about 4 or 5 days, I stopped applying the vit C paste, and started soaking the scab in SSKI 3 times a day. SSKI is a saturated solution of potassium iodide. It is a prescription item (though you can get it at the Tahoma Clinic web site without an Rx http://www.tahomadispensary.com/store/110067!162/Tri-Quench++%28SSKI+Potassium+Iodide%29+1+fl.oz). The presciption was given to me by my alternative doctor for toenail fungus. (The fungus connection!) So I have some on hand. The prescription SSKI is clear; the one they sell at the Tahoma Clinic has a coloring agent added to it. Duh!!!!
Anyway, putting the SSKI on the scab formed from the vit C paste burned like heck at first. I kept doing it as 3 X a day as long as it burned. Eventually the burn lessened. I started doing it only 2 X a day. Then when it no longer burned, I did it only 1 X a day. Even though I still had a scab, it stopped burning with the SSKI. Eventually, the scab came off. The entire scab. The skin now looks much better. It is irritated looking from the SSKI, I think. The 2 little bumps below what was the scabby part are gone. The skin is clear and mostly smooth. But I am not satisfied with it. There still seems to be something "going on" in there. Having read alot of the posts on this forum, I know that if I am dealing with a cancer, I better make sure it is knocked out, or it will recur.
So I am now planning to retreat, first with vit C paste for a few days to develop a scab, then with SSKI. I plan to put the vit c paste on at night and wash it off in the morning. Put SSKI on the skin in the morning and keep doing that until a nice thick scab appears. Then I will stop the vit c paste and use only the SSKI.
Meanwhile I will also be taking pancreas (ARG brand) about 8-10 caps at least 3X a day on an empty stomach. For 15 days ON, then a rest for 5 days. If you read up on the Kelley treatment for cancer using pancreatic enzymes, he says to take a break from the pancreas to let the body heal and detox itself. This is how my alternative doctor treats his cancer patients as well.
If I don't get good results from what I have on hand (lots of ARG vit C powder and SSKI) I think I will order cymillium, as I really have faith in the pancreatic enzymes to cure cancer.
I have something on my nose ( a small bump that looks just like a pimple but has been there for at least a year and never came to a head or healed) that I still have to decide what to do with. I may try orange oil on that to start with. Or maybe the vit C + SSKI routine.
I don'k know if the SSKI is better/more effective than the Lugol's 5% that people are using. Lugol's is cheaper than getting SSKI from the Tahoma clinic, but if you can get a prescription for SSKI and have insurance that will pay for it, that might be the way to go. For now I am just using what I have on hand, and I like it that the SSKI I have is clear.
edit: I just found this about Lugol's 5%: LUGOL'S 5%: Each VERTICAL drop is about 6.25 mg's of iodine/potassium iodide (2.5 mg iodine, 3.75 mg potassium iodide). Got the info from here: http://www.amazon.com/J-CROWS%C2%AE-Lugols-Solution-Iodine-5/dp/B001PN3BUW SSKI has alot more iodine/KI per drop than that. (Look at the link for the Tahoma Clinic SSKI).
Will keep you updated.

Besides taking a variety of supplements, and the pancreatic enzymes, I will also hit this hard with vit D. I know I am deficient from blood tests, in spite of taking 4000 units a day. Now upping that to 10,000 units. |
