Thanks for all the great information. I have just got a BCC on the left side of my nose just below my eye in mid March. I didn't know what it was at first but after some internet research I figured it out. I went to a dermatologist and confirmed it is BCC. The only thing that seems different is I get a bad burning sensation about an inch below the cancer. If I press on it I also get crawly sensations, tickling or phantom sensations all around the same area. I worry that it is traveling under the skin. Also I get headaches that are worse behind the left eye and especially bad if I bend down to pick up something. I wonder if these nerve/feelings and headache are related. If anyone else has had similar feeling I would appreciate hearing from you. I am afraid this may be worse than just a skin cancer.
I started using the Egg plant-Vinegar poultice tonight and I will post any results if and when I have them.

I can move your post but it seems OK to start a new thread. I also noticed a burning sensation with my initial BCC and it must be fairly common. I think it could have been caused by acid wastes produced by the cancer or it could have been from nerve damage as it spread.

If the burning sensation were due to to acidity, one possible (and totally experimental) response would be to quench it with an antacid such as household ammonia or baking soda mixed with water. Ammonia penetrates the skin easily and can keep the skin alkaline for several hours. Baking soda is weaker and safer than ammonia but may not penetrate as well. The alkaline environment should disrupt the growth of the cancer. Keep in mind that ammonia can cause severe permanent damage if it contacts the eye. Always have flowing water available for an emergency eye rinse.

Another possible response is to apply ibuprofen topically. Just open a liquid Advil capsule, mix it with some skin lotion, and apply. Ibuprofen stays in the skin for days and should disrupt the growth of the cancer by inhibiting inflammation.

These are just some additional possibilities to consider trying at your own risk. Read packaging labels for safety warnings.

Hi Teak welcome!

Not to discourage you in trying the EV poultice but I think the general consensus is that it alone does not knock out skin cancers especially bcc's.

Dan, the owner of the site has had success with a combo of Cymillium, supplements, restricted diet and other topical treatments.

There have been several success stories.. dig around and go for it.

Good luck and keep us posted on your progress!
