First-time Curaderm user and first-time poster.

I started using Curaderm 2-days ago to treat a BCC on my nose. So far, so good.

Is there any way (other than a biopsy) to confirm that the cancer is gone? I thought I had read someplace that there is an instrument that can measure the activity of cancer cells in relation to regular cells - but I can't remember where I read that.

Once I stop using Curaderm, I want to ensure that I got rid of all the cancer.

Any thoughts are appreciated.

Thanks,

Scott

Although I have not tried Curaderm, I use orange oil as an indicator (and treatment) to tell if skin cancer remains. If the suspected area stings there is probably still need for treatment. Try it first on an area you know is not affected. Any stinging will subside within about 25 minutes.

I am so sorry to hear that Marsha.

With all the conventional FDA-approved medicines around that sometimes end up killing people, it makes me feel a little angry that the Curaderm would be outlawed.

I haven't heard of any negative side effects from the Curaderm, so it seems like people should be allowed to decide for themselves whether to use it or not.

I hope you will find a replacement soon that works for you, and I wish you and others speedy progress in your recovery.

For myself, it appears I've been very lucky, with some unexpected turnabouts in my condition. I'm going over to the thread "Eggplant for skin cancer very exciting", and will post in more detail there.

I am still using Curaderm. It's now been about 24 days. Can anybody who has used this product comment on the following? I have had difficulty getting answers.

The Curaderm directions say to keep using it until new skin forms. It also says to not let it dry out or scab over. My question is - I thought new skin formed under a scab. Right now, I have white stuff that is semi-soft but firmly attached to the site. I try to rub it off and it is very tight to the site. It is also painful if I try to get it off. I don't know if this is what would be considered a scab or the start of new skin. So my question is:

Do I make a concerted effort to rip this stuff off or let it be? I am really unclear how and when I will see new skin forming.

Any thoughts are greatly appreciated. I want to ensure I am doing this correctly.

Thanks!

Scott

White skin will form around the lesion. If it is going to come off it will come off efortlesly. However new skin growing from the outside edges is also white for awhile. rub gently when you dry. the damaged skin will come off. Some time it comes off in sheets. I have also had the smaller spots just heal up over night, just clear pink skin.

That sounds awful Marsha. What have you been using on your nose recently - just Curaderm? Do you think this will heal up like the others have ? Are you still able to buy Curaderm ?

Yes,Thank you. I found 2 places to buy curaderm. I have calmed down. Its allways a shock when that happens.
It has taken so long because I have basil and scc mixed up togeather. I think it might take another 6 mo. Some of these go pretty deep, so there might be a little scaring.

I don´t know if Curaderm will work, nobody knows about it in Mexico. I used Efudix 2 years ago and the lesions cae back. I sent an email to info@curaderm.net and they oriented me. When they suggested calling me on the phone, I gave them my skype name as I live in another continent. I send photos each week, they study them and orient me through mail and/or skype. My lesions are on the nose, practically on the nostrils, so i was instructed to use minimal amounts of the product (which means the cream will last longer and they might sell less, so i find them trustworthy) . If you write to them their are very quick to write back. My skin is getting better by the hour, but Will it last?
Good luck

I have been using curaderm for 1 year and 3 mo. I have had my whole face peel off and regrow new skin. I have used it 7 times a day, And I have used it twice a day. OK. now don’t peel off the skin by force. What I do is wash my hands with dr browners soap, then I wet my tape down put on little soap, rinse, take off the bandages, then a little more soap, rinsing with ph 7 water. I take a Q tip dry off the spots, doing this will take off any lose skin. Then I put on the curaderm.
