we all come from so many different beliefs. when i read thru this website and came across one of the treatments for skin, one of the tips was to "ask god for healing". right now im diving into something called EFT, short for emotional freedom technique. its a sort of emotional accupuncture. ive learned along time ago when i had migraines that some believe they are caused by something held back in me. now im starting to believe that some of my skin problems are emotionally rooted. my skin has always been on the red side, as i think i could have rosacea also. last night i was tapping on an left over bad emotion from my parents, and i could visually see my face and neck go from red to a more normal light skin color. lately i have been helped by this and i have to pass it on.

Thanks rx7eddie. This is a really interesting subject. EFT is a simple concept where you tap certain points on your head and chest while verbally directing your body and/or mind to accomplish or change some behavior, in this case perhaps healing skin cancer. A key part of it is acknowledging the negative (emotional) factors that exist. The link above has the example:
"I began with opening statements such as, Even though my immune system is weak and it is allowing this growth at the base of my neck that looks like it might be cancer, but I don't really know if it is, I ask my body to shrink and release this growth and heal itself. Then a few rounds of tapping on "weak immune system" followed by "I ask my body to shrink and release this growth and heal itself" for a couple of rounds."
I say if it works at this level, great. I think a spiritual danger does exist however, and you kind of alluded to it in your first sentence. The danger is looking for a god within, which will be a false god, instead of the true God that provided for us a Savior Jesus that lifts us to a level where we can be at peace with Him. Still, I know most of the world disagrees with me.
Regardless of your relationship with God, I think it is impossible to go through life without carrying around some or a lot of emotional baggage. I know I have my share, even though I have also been blessed tremendously. I think it is important for good health to think positively. There is another quote in the link: "Some day the medical profession will wake up and realize that unresolved emotional issues are the main cause of 85% of all illnesses." Interesting! |

WOW, I can see what you see in my first sentence. Altho, I don't view EFT as a religion or a god, only as a tool, such as meditation or prayer. With Christian parents, I've been to many denomonation churches and have never bought into the whole savior thing. Hoping to avert a religious debate, my first sentence also said, we all come from many different backgrounds. Some call it God, I call it Nature. |

Just tried with http://www.efteducation.com before meeting a client and this was an extraordinary session. Powerful, with deep insights of the client, connecting with the heartspace and finding solutions and emotional freedom. |

Here's a link to a "FREE" 36 page instructional of the EFT procedure. http://www.counsellingforyourself.co.uk/EFT%20PDF%20slide%20show.pdf
I find it frustrating that people come here under the guise of being part of this forum, post once or twice with links to their business when their true motive is to pawn their goods.
Dan I've said it before and I will say it again.
Thank you so much for putting this site and forum here. There is no way to quantify how much help, assurance and relief this place has created.
It's far from perfect but neither are the alternatives..As a collective we are learning how to deal with this ever growing epidemic. |

Dan Thank you for caring about other people's skin and their immortal souls. Well said! It is a good reminder that whatever we deal with in this world (and it can be plenty painful) it's only a blink compared to eternity. Jesus Christ came to give us the opportunity to spend eternity in paradise. I think most of the world is looking for paradise - don't think they want misery: but joy and goodness are only found with doing what Jesus instructs us - Love God 1st and your neighbor as yourself - then there can be joy even in middle of suffering because one knows who one is and where one is heading for! it puts the lows in perspective and highs are just a little taste of the joys to come with Him in Heaven.
i probably would not try the EFT without finding out how and where it started and if it is based on anything tapping into manipulating "energies" spiritual or otherwise - but that's me - i have read that some of the things that tap into these energies are calling on the energies of demons so i don't want to be involved with that.
not sure what newguy meant by emotional freedom - life would be pretty boring imho without emotions.
Anivoc Thanks for your post - that frustrates me as well - thank you for the free link!!!!! I agree 900%+ with everything else you expressed!!!! Well said!

I've been using EFT for years for all sorts of things. If something is emotional based it works wonders.
I have also had "spiritual healing" after having read the chapter about healing in the book The Disappearance of the Universe.
