I’ve been reading about cannabis oil as a skin cancer treatment, and initially it sounded interesting, but I came across a site that said: “It is important to understand that once you have completed say a 90 day Rick Simpson course you will still require what is known as a maintenance dose of the oil, basically a lesser amount taken to keep your condition from returning.” http://www.cannabiscure.info/buy-cannabis-oil-online/ If this is so, then cannabis oil it is not as optimistic as it originally sounded to me. I use black salve and that has worked, but it is not a cure, as the skin cancers return in the same areas as they were removed from. So I was hoping that cannabis oil would have been better in that regards. I’m from the UK and where cannabis oil is illegal, but I’d like your opinions anyway. anivoc 668 Posts Posted - 10/09/2017 :  22:30:10     To be clear with black salve....they don't always return...The one on my nose has remained "normal and healthy" now for over 15 years...Now it was one of the smallest I had and healed up way better than expected but it is definitely not come back and still looks good just a little scar...Sadly that is not the case for the larger ones and as you know...bloodroot paste is no picnic to go through... I hav done a few experiments with Petty spurge not just the sap but the whole plant ground up and used as a poultice...first little fast growing tumor was knocked easily with 2 treatments in two days and was not all that painful...not like bloodroot...I've just applied the same mix to a much larger persistent one on my forehead...this afternoon....hurts a little more but nothing like BP..I'll report back with results as I proceed.... Obviously the larger ones have deeper roots, yet I had a large one on my thumb in 2014 that hasn’t come back after using BP. The common understanding (misperception) of BP and black salves is that they destroy the roots also (no matter how deep)—the sellers of Cansema make a point of saying this. I wonder why skin cancers, on the whole, keep returning. Is there a genetic or dietary factor involved? I try to eat well, and take supplements etc, and none of my family has had skin cancer, so the whole thing is a mystery. I even tried drinking 2 teaspoons of baking soda twice a day for 2 weeks as a cure (this is supposed to eradicate all cancer in your body) but it didn’t work. I have repeated this treatment 3 times in about as many years to no effect. The whole thing is a mystery. Good luck with your latest application of petty surge anivoc 668 Posts Posted - 10/10/2017 :  11:43:21     Definitely genetic and we are just the lucky ones that won the BCC lottery...There are a lot of people that have worse afflictions but these are no picnic. I come from a VERY large family on my Mom's side...she was one of 12 siblings...consequently I have a ton of cousins and 4 siblings myself. Of those 40 plus cousins about 10 have had to deal with BCC's some pretty extensively..I am the only one that has gone the alternative route and the jury is still out if I screwed up in doing so. I can tell you a few of my cousins have been through surgery hell. Oddly only one of my siblings is dealing with them...a sister who is 8 years older than me...spent a whole lot more time in the sun and has had a lot less skin cancers than me.... I just took a peek at my first application of petty spurge on a smaller problematic area.... First day and it has "eaten up" a good dent in the area....it hurt but not horrible...no major swelling ...not even close to the pain of BP. On the first small one I just applied twice...I suspect this will require a few more and the hole it creates will be deeper / wider...we'll see... I am cautiously optimistic... I guess it is time to start a new thread on this journey but I'll hold off for a few days to see where this goes...This particular one is in an area where there was once a large nodular Basal that I treated with BP ( two different times over 10 years ) and this has grown out from the perimeter scar tissue area... based on the small one I knocked out a few weeks ago....No pictures sorry was just experimenting...I think this poultice may be the new way to use petty spurge much more effective and easier to make than just using the sap...It makes sense that the whole plant would have the same active ingredient that the sap has... I'll share the story I got from my friend in Australia in the new thread once I am sure this is a approach worth consideration.... Petty spurge grows wild all over my area of Southern California and even sprouted up in my own backyard...I asked God for help...maybe this is it (HOPEFUL but at this point reluctantly skeptical) Apple Seed 27 Posts Posted - 10/11/2017 :  06:16:57     I’ve never tried petty surge. I heard about it but I am quite impatient and prefer to zap the BCC in one go that’s why I use black salve. The pain lasts a few hours but at least I am sure that the BCC is killed quickly. I tried slower methods, using apple cider vinegar and topical baking soda but was afraid to keep using them in case the cancer spread before they killed it. I might give Epsom salts a try, though, even though that is also slow. I hear it is quite effective—at least in one reported incident. I came across the following scientific article on how nicotinamide at 1000 mg daily can prevent non-melanoma skin cancer coming back. The article is based on a scientific study. You may already know about this study. Nicotinamide is also used to treat acne—I wonder if there is a link between BCCs and acne. A lot of my BCCs look like acne—or near enough to it.
