Hi there, what a great site, i have used curaderm previously on a small basal cell cancer on my nose which worked and hasn't come back. I am now using on a larger one on my cheek, the Dermatologist told me it should be cut out as it is very deep and curaderm probably wont work...not quite sure how well curaderm will work on a very deep basal cell..any advice would be great.. |

Since you've already used Curaderm and it worked for you, if you still have some try and it and see if it works. If it does beautiful, if it doesn't Petty Spurge, at least on this forum, seems to be the most popular "new" approach to dealing with non-melanoma skin cancers with great success. Best of all it grows wild pretty much around the world.
Then there's cymillium, orange oil and of course the gold standard of alternative treatments..Bloodroot paste...OUCH!
Good Luck! |

Curaderm should be able to penetrate deep enough to treat the skin cancer. You may experience more stinging and a deeper crater during this treatment than when you treated your previous skin cancer and treatment will take longer. The great part will be that by using Curaderm you will end up with minimal to no scarring unlike if they cut out the deep skin cancer. When treating large or deep skin cancers, it is important not to run out of Curaderm during treatment.
I hope you have success. |

I guess the biggest problem I have with curaderm is that it takes so long and so much of the stuff ( which is expensive) to knock a big bcc out, and in the end there are no guarantees it will. I encourage you to go through this thread... http://topicalinfo.org/forum/topic.asp?whichpage=1&TOPIC_ID=44#5099
before you make your decision this time. It's a thread on curaderm vs. bloodroot... a lot of good feedback from both sides of the fence but you get an understanding of the two different approaches and how they work. Ken has made some fantastic videos of his bloodroot paste experience. BTW /FYI..IMO If it is a big or deep bcc you are going to end up with a scar, probably not as bad as if you let a derm go at you with the knife but if it is big and deep it is going to leave it's mark. Much better than a scabby bleeding ulcer.
I try and be as diplomatic as possible to the Curaderm retailers that come here and post. This forum is here for people to share and discuss alternative ways to deal with non melanoma skin cancers. There are many many different ways to approach them and many success stories to be considered. This is not a marketing platform for Curaderm.
I have a question to Cuardermbec5... I understand that you sell Curaderm and are experienced at coaching people using it. My question is have you ever personally used the stuff on a larger or deep BCC? If you have please post pictures, your experience and how long it took. If you haven't you have no idea of the, in my opinion, unnecessary long term pain one must endure using Curaderm vs other much less expensive much faster working and effective alternatives.
Because you make your living by selling Curaderm (and I don't doubt you believe in it) you are less likely to consider, experiment with, or recommend the many other alternatives out there. There is no vested interest in it for you.
I went over 3 months treating a few larger BCC's with Curaderm and invested $300+ on the stuff, a lot of pain and way too long for results that were, in the end unsuccessful at knocking the tumors completely out. Yes they ate away at them but never got the knock out.
In regards to scarring, to be clear, I was scarred by curaderm. I say this not because I am mad about it, it is just impossible not to be scarred when you are eating away a large amount of mutated skin tissue. On small AK's and Bcc's you might be able to say the scaring will be minimal or non existent because it is a small wound..same goes with bloodroot paste or petty spurge.
To say "you will end up with minimal to no scarring" when you are talking about a large or deep BCC..is just not factual...Highly unlikely you won't end up with some scarring is more the truth.
