Hi everyone,

I need your advice. I was diagnosed with Basal Cell Carcinoma and I am supposed to get it removed in 2 weeks. It is on my nose and I was looking to find an alternative cure and came across this website. Originally I only had a little scab on my nose where the doctor did the biopsy. Before the biopsy I had what I thought was a rash. When I got the results I was told it is Basal Cell Carcinoma and it needs to be cut out. I started the Vitamin C application to the little scab I had and the spot got much bigger. It is now probably 4 times as big as it was originally. I am using 1000 mg Vitamin C pills with Rose Hips and dissolve them in water. The ingredients in the pills are: Absorbic Acid, Cellulose, Citrus Bioflavonoid Complex, Acerola, Croscarmellose, Sodium Hypromellose, Stearic Acid, Crospovidone Talc, Rose Hips Powder, Magnesium Stearate, Silicon Dioxide. Does anyone know if this combination will work? My nose is also swollen around the scabed area and red after I put the Vitamin solution on. I read that the vitamin C will only kill the cancer but leave the healthy tissue alone. It looks to me right now as if it also kills some of the tissue around it. Of course I really don't know how far the cancer goes because I assume it was only there where I had the rash. When I put Neosporin on the red swollen tissue, the swelling goes down until I put the Vitamin C on it again. Yesterday I dissolved one Vitamin C pill with Hydrogen Peroxide and put that on my nose but the swelling got even bigger. Should I stop or continue?
Thanks

dan

Welcome fit4evr! Hopefully you will but you are probably not likely to get the definitive advice you want for lots of reasons, mostly because not too many people have tried these remedies before and none of us are doctors. The search function at the top right of each page works pretty well and there have been many mentions of vitamin c. A good thread is http://www.topicalinfo.org/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=616

My take on topical vitamin c is it can work but it is slow, somewhat painful, and not very selective as you have seen. Both vitamin C and hydrogen peroxide have worked for others. Your progress seems to be in line with what others have reported. If it were me, however, I would try the vitamin e and ALA remedy instead because it worked so well on a nose BCC. http://www.topicalinfo.org/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=888 (But the sample size right now is one.) Another new promising remedy for BCC is agrimony.
