Hi everyone, I'm a 44 year old female and I had a small Superficial BCC removed from my back in March 2009, scraped and cauterized, and a small, possibly seborrheic keratosis, froze of my face which blistered and scabbed over and healed. The BCC was biopsied, but the seborrheic keratosis was not so I have no idea if it was something cancerous or not. So I was wondering if there was a solution that I could use to apply to the scars to see if there are any remaining cancer cells? I have read that some users have found Orange Oil and household vinegar to give a stinging sensation when applied to a problem area. I used plain vinegar and apple cider vinegar as well as PledgeŽ Revitalizing Oil with Natural Orange Oil http://www.pledge.com/orange-oil/ and left them on for 20 minutes each and did not have any reaction. I also applied the products to other areas as a control, also without a reaction. Any other ideas? I don't really like the wait and see approach that my doctor advises. Also, great website!

I think orange oil and apple cider vinegar are good indicators, but I would use a "greener" orange oil product. According to http://whatsinproducts.com/information.php?brandNo=19-001-307&PHPSESSID=e2ff65b77bd4293d08cddc7c44eaf568 , the ingredients of PledgeŽ Revitalizing Oil with Natural Orange Oil are unspecified emulsifier(s) 1-3%, Polydimethylsiloxanes (Silicon oil) 1-3%, white mineral oil >95%, and d-Limonene 1-3%.
Since d-limonene is such a good penetrator/carrier, I think it is important to find very pure products, such as from Now Foods, Orange TKO, That Orange Stuff, or Citrisolve Natural. Cleaner/degreaser orange oil products will also have a higher concentration (about 30%) of d-limonene. |
