I used blood root on a mole on my forehead. BUT forgot my dermotologist just put botox in my forehead!
The mole has scabed over. BUT my forehead is swollen and a bit red. Could the tiny bit if blood root I put on the mole have triggered something where it would attack my skin where the botox is?
Or is swelling normal when useing bloodroot.
The swelling is about 2inches below the mole. I pray I don't lose my forehead skin!!!!!
I mean is that possible, that the blood root would somehow mistake the botox for cancer?

Hannah, I am sorry for your plight but I really don't know if bloodroot interacts with botox. Two inches seems to me pretty far away to have a strong reaction between the two. Since I have never used bloodroot, maybe someone who has would have a better answer. |

Hi Hannah,
I have used Bloodroot several times and dependent on the tumor, absolutely swelling is normal and can go 2 inches beyond the point you applied. It is painful and can take a few weeks to go down.
My biggest concern is that this was a unbiopsied mole and not a BCC or AK.
I am not trying to scare you but irregular or bleeding moles can be an indication of melanoma and Melenoma is not to be taken as lightly as BCC and AK's.
I have heard tell of people who have knocked out a early Melanoma with Bloodroot but know of no one personally.
If this mole was bleeding or irregular, my opinion is you need to get to a dermatologist immediately and have them biopsy it. Though I am playing doctor with with my BCC's and AK's Melanoma is not something I would gamble with.
Just my opinion on this.. I know there are people who believe Biopsies cause the cancer to spread.. It is not an exact science. Good Luck!

Hi!!!
Thank you for responding. My worst fear is actually that the blood root will attack the botox in my forhead and cause me to have to get a skin graft or somthing YIKES!!!!
I only used a DAB on my mole, a small tiny dab. And what a reaction! The mole has turned into that esher scab thing-very painful-and then there is a great deal of edema in my forehead beneeth the mole where I had botox done.
Like I can push on my skin there and it leaves a dent for a second.
So can I relax? I mean could the blood root do somthing to my skin since I used botox-realized botox is a bacteria after the fact- so could the blood root attack my WHOLE forehead? What signs do have I have to watch out for if it did?
I don't want to be like those ladies who lost large pieces of there skin, that is on the interent, that used bloodroot!!!!!!
Any comments would be much appreciated. |

small dab is subjective. How small? the size of a match head, a chocolate chip....
How long did you leave it on?
Have you removed all traces of it from the area?
I looked up what botox is and it is a protein..so could the bloodroot attack it..from my understanding of how bloodroot works. my guess and that's only a guess is no.
How it was explained to me is that skin cancers basically have a shield / veil around them that tricks the immune system into ignoring them as a foreign invader. When you but bloodroot paste on them it exposes the tumor for what it is..a foreign invader and the white blood cells go into action attacking the tumor.
This said you are in unchartered waters and could there be some unknown reaction? ..absolutely possible.
If it is not getting worse I'd ride the wave out and let it heal..
More importantly as I said previously... Moles are not something to mess with or try and do on your own.. They are the most common origin of Melanoma skin cancer..the one that is Deadly with a capital D.
If I were you I would definitely see a dermatologist right away.

Thank you soooo much for looking that up. You are an angel.
Yes the swelling is subsideing :) and thank goodness for that. It is moving down which is kind's odd, like it was mideforhead, now its lower. Will the edema move through my whole face?
About the blood root. I put about the end of a match stick amount on the mole, twice. I thought it killed all the cancer in anything. I have seen pics of breast cancer cured even.
I have an esher now. It looks very infected, a bit of bleeding around the esher. If I went to a Dermo now they would probely cut out the esher.
I really am confident in the blood root. I don't trust doctors to get ALL of it like the blood root will. I have read stories where people go to the dermotogist spend thousands of dollars and still end up with cancer.
So I am going to wait for the esher to come off then apply again.......
My question is pus and a bit of blood normal in the esher?
HUGS!

Hi!
Thank you for responding! You are an angel for looking that stuff up.
Ok I put about the end of a match stick amount on my mole of the blood root, twice.
If I went to the Dermo now they would cut out the esher. I have alot faith in the bloodroot. I feel like doctors wouldn't be able to get it all if it is cancer. AND thats thousands of dollars.
The edema is subsideing, but also moving down, it was only in the middle of my forehead, now it moving lower.
Oh the esher has a bit of blood and pus in it. Is that normal? How long before this thing comes out?
HUGS! Hannah |
