For Australians who don't want to spend a fortune on Curaderm or Sunspot ES, Newtons Homeopathic Pharmacy in Sydney, Australia, make their own Devils Apple cream for Solar Keratoses. It costs $25 for 60 grams and they will post anywhere in Australia. I don't know if they ship overseas and I must point out I have not used this product myself. Their website address is www.newtonspharmacy.com.au and their phone number is (02) 9267-7889.
I have ordered other products from them and their postage charges are quite reasonable and service is fairly fast. They will happily answer any questions over the phone.

Has anyone tried the Devil's Apple cream for skin cancer If so, what were your results? Is it better than Curaderm? I've been reading some unpleasant things about Curaderm on this forum. I've used the Curaderm but it's quite costly now and some of the feedback about it not going deep enough and therefore causing the cancer to spread, is quite disturbing. My email is szukidavis@aol.com if anyone who has used the Devil's Apple has any information for me. Thank you. |

Hi I can't thank you enough for sharing the pharmacy in Australia. The cost of the Devil's Apple cream has gone up but I was reading the ingredients and it's amazing.
"Solar keratoses or sunspots are a possible predictor of skin cancer. These red patches caused by sun exposure are made of abnormal cells that can mutate into malignant cells in the basal, or lower layers of the skin. Newtons salve for solar keratoses contains extracts of Blood root and Devil#128;#153;s apple with Hemp Oil in a beeswax and lanolin ointment base. It will assist in the treatment of solar keratoses (sunspots) and related lesions. Similar to Curaderm and Cansema, but without any erosive chemicals and harmful effects. Blood root was used by Harry Hoxsey in his topical skin cancer solutions that demonstrated efficacy for melanoma. Devil's Apple (Solanum linnaeanum) is a poisonous nightshade species native to South Africa and is considered an invasive weed in Australia and New Zealand. The applications of devil's apple in combating cancer was tested and patented in the early 1980s by Bill Cham, who was then a medical researcher at the University of Queensland. Cham, who developed a cream made from the devil's apple flower, followed up anecdotal evidence from livestock owners that the growth of skin cancers and lesions had slowed down or cleared up in horses and cattle that ate the weed. Farmers were also known to rub the sap of the fruit to repair sunspots.
It is now known and proven by clinical trials that the selective anti-tumor effects of Devil's apple are due to Solasodine rhamnosyl glycosides compounds, also found in eggplants. Solasodine rhamnosyl glycosides (SRGs) induce apoptosis in a wide variety of cancer cells and are more effective than many well-established anticancer agents. Ref: Planta Med. 2012 Mar;78(4):349-53. doi: 10.1055/s-0031-1298149. Epub 2012 Jan 13.
Please note that although it is now evident that Devils' apple extract has anti-tumour activity, Newtons Devils apple ointment is a hand made, custom compound, therefore never tested in clinical trials."
This pharmacy is very impressive and it looks like they really know what they are doing. I have already emailed them and hope that they can ship to the USA.
