In the new year in my prays, i asked hardly for God to help me to find an alternative way to get free of it...and 2 days after it i oppend the feed at facebookn first thing that appeared was an article about Dr Tullio .... And there a found that way of treatment...and that is how i found this forum....i will appreaciate to receive all the the support you can give me...as i didn' t find any one here that made it that way....i found yesterday at the manipulation pharmacy Lugol 5 % ...but i am afraid to tbe alone and get in panic into the process...the doctor here said to me that for surgeynit is better no to use any quimical on it because it might change the tumor...and at mohs surgery this change can not be recognize...i am with hope since i found this method and this forum....please someone can talk to me about?

Hi Dalia,

You did not mention where the BCC is on your face or how big it is but these are factors to consider.

Choosing to go the alternative treatment route is a serious and important decision that has to be made by you. There are many people here that have had success and some that haven't. Some have also had very severe reactions with the various alternative treatments.

Iodine is one that has had some success ..there are several others and you owe it to yourself to make an informed decision. Basal Cell skin cancers are generally slow growing so you have a little time to spend a few weeks reading through the threads here and educate yourself before making that decision.

There is a thread here on the BBS that discuss's using iodine that is several pages long DB Lawton and Russky have both posted pictures here of their Iodine therapy experience. If you go here it will drop you into page 4 of the 5 pages of comments on Iodine use.

The link is to take you to the page with the pictures but you should read through the whole thread and again I encourage you to read through the other possible ways you could go about treating your BCC... Starting on THIS page and working your way down.

All the best to you in your quest to get rid of that BCC on your face.

Lastly I know it is a hard thing to do ...but if you decide to use one of these alternative methods, it is REALLY helpful if you take before and after pictures to help future people coming here make their choices and decisions on how to treat their non-melanoma skin cancers..
