Author  Topic    drlarryvon 16 Posts Posted - 10/04/2012 :  21:52:13     Anyone have any personal experience with any alternative that resolves or removes cherry angiomas? we have tried black salve, straight bloodroot, to no avail, just blisters or causes a light caustic burn around the angioma. So any ideas on evidence based results for a solution for cherry angiomas? Larry Von dan 611 Posts Posted - 10/04/2012 :  23:24:38     Cherry Angiomas appear as small bright red dots, commonly located on the torso. Cherry angiomas usually do not need to be treated unless they are cosmetically unattractive or they bleed often. I think they are caused by a bromine excess and/or iodine deficiency. I seem to have stopped getting new ones by upping iodine intake and decreasing consumption of bread which can contain bromine, but the ones I had before appear to be unchanged over several years. http://www.iodine-resource.com/cherry-angiomas.html http://www.ufoinsight.com/cherry-angiomas-bromine-iodine/ I did have luck with orange oil on one over several weeks but have not pursued it on any others. Paullie 15 Posts Posted - 01/25/2013 :  09:14:59     I got so sick of cherry angiomas that popped up all at once on my torso. Believe it or not I ordered a very small soldering iron off of Ebay for about ten bucks, and carefully burned them off one by one. I did add triple antibiotic ointment after I did this. They all either disappeared entirely or were reduced in size by more than 90%. At one time I had a dermatologist who would take care of these similarly for no extra charge, but after he retired they all just said that insurance wouldn't cover it.    Topic
