Causes of Diabetes Our pancreas create hormone called insulin which controls blood sugar. Diabetes can be caused by less production of insulin, resistance to insulin by the pancreas. Diabetes is of 3 types: i) Type 1: It is recognized in the child stage, at very younger age. In this case pancreas produce low amount of insulin or there is no production of insulin. ii) Type 2: It is very common now days. Most of the diabetic patients belong to this category. The insulin level of body is very low. iii) Gestational diabetes : It is found in the women during the Pregnancy.    Topic
