I thought that members of this group would be interested in a new technique using lasers to help diagnose melanoma. Still early in development, out of DUKE, but more info can be found here. http://melanomamonday.com/2011/laser-to-diagnose-melanoma/

Many don't realize that the diagnosis of melanoma is sometimes not "black or white", and that it takes judgment (hopefully good judgment) to make that call. Once the call is made, the impact on a patient's life can be profound.
