Posted - 09/18/2012 : 15:52:23 I was wondering if anyone has had a squamous cell in situ on the nose and has use a topical instead of surgery. The doctor want to perform Mohs and I rather not... since I have had Mohs before and know how devestating it is. Help!!!! |

Posted - 09/21/2012 : 00:34:16 For what it's worth, I had good luck with Cymilium (pancreatin enzymes, ammonia, aloe vera) on an SCC. It took about a week of getting worse before it suddenly got better. I also think orange oil works but it is much slower. |

Posted - 09/18/2012 : 20:25:07 I am really afraid of Mohs on the tip of my nose...Any other place would not be so disfiguring... I have a friend that had to have a flap from the forehead that was still attached to both the forehead and nose...it was horrible...anyway does anyone have any experience using a topical on SCC in situ?...It is a superficial but being on the nose I am not sure that topicals would work. |

Posted - 09/18/2012 : 18:55:59 I would get it taken care of ASAP. I had MOH's last week and it was no big deal. Ten stitches and the scare is hardly noticable. I got a new spot the next day after the stitches came out and it is near the nose. I put Cymilium on it and it really started to hurt. I don't know how long I'm going to let it go, but I now feel that MOH's is an option now. |
