Posted - 06/10/2007 : 20:41:08 Grabec, I wish I knew what to do but this is clearly out of my league. Once any cancer advances, the margin of error gets smaller so you need expert advice. In terms of referrals, here a few possibilities:
I have learned a lot from the Grouppe Kurosawa website. They have an recent cancer protocol at http://cancerprotocol.grouppekurosawa.com but to get their latest protocol requires a $35/ 3 month subscription to their discussion group. The discussion group might be very helpful as it could have people in a similar situation such as yours.
If money ($350-700) is not a concern, you could consult with Ralph Moss at http://www.cancerdecisions.com He is an expert in both conventional and alternative cancer treatments, and could help you choose the best path forward. I would trust his opinion.
Consider The AP John Cancer Institute in Jacksonville, FL. They offer a free consultation. http://www.apjohncancerinstitute.org/cancer/skin.htm lists treatments for skin cancer including a controlled amino acid therapy and they also deal with other cancers.
I like the philosophy of the Cancer Treatment Centers of America a lot more than regular conventional medicine but I don't have any experience with them.
If your doctors are admitting they do not have a clear path forward, my limited experience with cancer in my family tells me their experimental treatments and drugs will cost a bundle and could be far worse than of no benefit. They also may have very limited appreciation of the functioning of the immune system with respect to cancer.
It is not my intent to have this be the last word. Grabec, you are always welcome here. If someone else has thoughts we would all like to hear them. |
