I had an ak on tip of nose that I let go for a couple of years for various reasons I won't go into. Derm. dr. froze it off 3mths ago, on return check just had tiny dent. Then dr. said should treat w/ Aldara but could wait til after Christmas because...i dont' know. When I read horror stories about Aldara - I didn't get script filled. Dr. didn't give me a clear answer whether he thought something else was there, didn't discuss Aldara, what to expect, nothing. This is my 3rd derm I've seen -one even said the ak wasn't anything.
My question now - do I use Aldara or get a biopsy and go from there if comes back positive? I want to do the least invasive and least scarring. Thank you!

ssw, could you tell us how aldara affected your immune system; symptoms and how you knew that they were caused by aldara.

Before you ever use aldara read fully the website aldara1.com The man who put this website up almost lost his life to aldara, and his lawsuit gave him access to the research that was done on this drug, so his information is very accurate. Then go to http://www.topix.com/forum/med/TH5FFQJNHQIOSD0G7/p64 and read what hundreds of people are suffering from using this drug. This drug has great potential to distroy your immune system, I KNOW, because it did mine. If I had read these website first I would have never touch this drug. It should be taken off the market.

GET THE BIOPSY SO YOU KNOW WHAT IT IS. If you catch it early, that is your best bet. Don't wait.
