Posted - 03/04/2010 : 22:38:21 My husband who has had major sun exposure over the years has the typical actinic keratosis. Recently on both arms I am seeing spots that look like silvery lesions.
I tried applying MMS with no results then topical Lugol's iodine.
I am not thinking they are cancer but certainly a precanerous condition. What would you recommend to remove these?
I have been thinking of ordering just a bloodroot product from Alpha Omega Labs. Are there other options I should look at first?
Also, I read about orange oil here and I'm curious about that. Is there any website or page here that gives more info on its use?
We will not be going for a diagnosis, No insurance and don't like the treatments they offer anyway.
Thanks Arrow |

Posted - 03/05/2010 : 11:22:08 We applied the MMS activated for 3 days with no result but slight burning that was very transient.
The lugols really died the spots dark but no other changes. Perhaps I was not persistant enough, only applying it 3 times a day.
On the other hand my neighbor feels that she successfully treated an unofficially diagnosed skin cancer on her lip with activated mms. It reacted profoundly, formed a crater, then healed with no signs of leasion remaining. The application of her mms and its reaction is kind of how I based the lack of effectiveness on my husbands spots. |

Posted - 03/05/2010 : 01:14:23 Welcome Arrow! I have not tried bloodroot. It should work but it is reportedly unrelentingly painful for days. At least orange oil pain only lasts for a few minutes. There are orange oil posts scattered throughout the forum, I suggest using the search feature at the upper right corner of each page to find them. Be sure to investigate the terms limonene and d-limonene (orange oil's active ingredient) in addition to orange oil in searches. Also, you can look at http://www.topicalinfo.org/Topical.htm#limonene We have not had a lot of feedback on orange oil but it worked for me. You may want to also look into petty spurge, a plant whose seeds you can buy on the internet.
I am curious about how you applied the MMS and for how long even if you did not get results. Also, I had hopes for Lugol's iodine, I guess that did not work also? |
