Posted - 10/10/2009 : 21:37:33 Hi Everyone, I am new to the forum although I have been reading for a while. I noticed today an large 1 1/2" area below my eye on my cheek that looks like swelling but defined. I remembered the d'limonene test and put some on the area and the whole area burned. so now I'm thinking it's cancer and freaking out. I tried some on another spot on my face and there was no sensation. I was wondering how often you use d'limonene as a treatment- How many times a day do you apply it? there is no break in the skin and I wonder if topical treaments will penetrate. the orange oil did however. also can I use cymillium while I am using the orange oil -I would appreciate any help. |

Posted - 10/11/2009 : 00:18:42 The d'limonene (orange oil) test is interesting but I'm pretty sure the burning doesn't always mean the affected area is cancer. For instance, I had a suspected fungal infection in my ears that burned when I applied d-limonene with a Q tip. I don't think that was cancer. But I do think the test can indicate something is not right. So far, any burning area I have found has been able to be cleared by repeated applications, but that can take 6 to 8 weeks. I apply once a day, three or four times a week, rinsing the area after the burning stops roughly 25 minutes after applying. I have found orange oil to have terrific penetrating properties.
I don't know for sure if Cymillium would help or hurt while using orange oil. I think having two different angles of attack could be a good thing but I would stick with only one for a while to see what happens. |
