Well I finally gave into my families request and succumbed to the scalpel today.
I have tried everything except bloodroot on the nodular BCC on the top of my head. ( I've referenced it several times here on the board)
The Derm is young and was far more open to discussion about alternative methods and actually knew a little ( albeit very little) about bloodroot.
I learned a bit from him and was able to get his opinion on several topics here including Carac vs. Efudex or Aldara..
I'm a bit tired .. been a long day I'll expound on what I learned later. He was pretty cool as was the pathologist who let me watch as he prepared the excision for the microscope.. that in itself is a fun story.
Oh well my big ol buddy that has haunted me for the last 4+ years is gone ( Allegedly ) and I have a hole about the size of a quarter where he resided. |

Thanks for the followup, Tom. What a nasty one that must have been. I hope it is gone forever. I suppose the lesson to be learned is that topical treatments may only have a limited reach.
