Anyone used Aldera before?
I am using on quite a large area of my chest. Looks terrible. Hoping it heals without a scar and without basal cell carcinoma.

I am guessing you are not in the care of a physician. When I was using the aldara, I had a period where the area became red, swollen, and bleeding. The doctor had me stop treatment for a week or so and then start again. The doc did not want the area to become "angry." I would never tell anybody how to use the stuff as I am not a doctor. I suspect each person's needs are not the same. I used it three times a week, every other day, and only put the stuff on once a day. BTW, because I couldn't remember my login information, I had to re-register myself (previously jan) It's a long story, not related to skin cancer...

I've just completed a 12-week course of aldara. You can read about my experience under "Traditional vs Alternative" in this same section. I will be having another biopsy in about 3 weeks and will let you know if the aldara worked. I had no side effects that I know of, other than itching at the site. The area treated is pink now and the skin healed.
