Hi,
My name is Cathy. I have a 10 yr old black lab with Squamous cell cancer in her mouth. Has anyone had any success with this cancer. I'm trying to boost her immune system with supplements and a good diet. It's inside her mouth toward her throat so I wouldn't be able to apply anything topically. Thank you ,Cathy |

Cathy, I am sorry to hear about your dog's condition. I think there are lots of things to try, assuming your vet can't offer something better. I had good luck with topical pancreatin enzymes on a site identified (but not biopsied) as squamous cell cancer by a dermatologist. For your dog, you would have to go the systemic route, mixing pancreatic enzymes or even a pancreas from a butcher shop in your dog's food, along the lines of the Kelley Metabolic Plan. I think mixing resveratrol and quercetin in a bit of alcohol and then in her water could work wonders. See http://www.lef.org/resveratrol/
"The New Cytotoxic Stress/Autophagy Cancer Treatment Protocol" at http://grouppekurosawa.com/blog/ lists several scientifically backed ideas. Of particular interest are vitamin B1 combined with DCA and caffeine. Other things mentioned are Policosanol, Sodium salicylate, Vitamin D, Vitamin A, Melatonin, Glutamine, and Sodium Selenite. According to them, do not supplement vitamin C, vitamin E, NAC (n-acetylcysteine), ALA (alpha lipoic acid). Avoid omega 6 oils.
Realistically, all this is a long shot to just pick up and try on your own especially without appropriate dosages for a dog. I hope something here helps you. |
