Lichen Planus (LP) is a common inflammatory disease that affects the skin and/or inside the mouth. On the skin it produces reddish-purple, flat-topped bumps or a rash that may be very itchy. LP is often considered to be an autoimmune disease, where white blood cells begin to attack the normal parts of the skin, mucous membranes, hair, and nails.

I received an email from "Gale" regarding treating lichen planus with Cymilium that is copied below with her permission. Cymilium is a commercially available topical insect bite treatment containing pancreatin enzymes, aloe vera, and ammonia, that has been used by some people as a skin cancer treatment. It is also not difficult to mix up a home remedy preparation based on Cymilium's ingredients as described in http://www.topicalinfo.org/Topical.htm#experimental

"Hi Dan,

thank you so much for all the great info on your site. I just wanted to tell you an experience I had a while ago with Cymilium.

I had a large red lump on my arm that I suspected was skin cancer. I read your info on the internet and purchased some Cymilium. I applied it about 3x a day. After the first day it was less red. I proceeded to use it- along with other things too- coconut oil-peroxide- ACV. In about 2 weeks the lesion had just about shriveled up but there was a remnant of it left - I had an appointment with the Dermatologist so I kept the appointment.

She did a biopsy and it turned out not to be skin cancer but Lichen Planus.

I've since had a more serious breakout of it and am changing my diet and trying to alkalize as well as using Cymilium.

I just wanted you to know that Cymilium also works on Lichen Planus which can be disfiguring and a serious problem for many people. You might want to do some testing on the subject.

Best Regards,
Gale"
