Posted - 03/21/2008 : 22:26:17 Hi all, this site has been very helpful...overwhelming, but helpful! I am 34 and had 2 dime-sized spots on my forehead shave biopsied on 3/12 (came back basal cell). I began sunspot on 3/17 on those 2 along with a larger spot on my chest and 2 very small spots on my arm. I use it 3x/day w/micropore tape on top. I also cleanse them w/H2O2 b/c of the post-biopsy wound care instructions. The sunspot definitely stings, so I'm hoping that's a good thing and it's working!
The derm also punch-biopsied a mole from my back on 3/19 and wanted to biopsy the spot on my chest (which I refused). She wants to do Moh's on the 3 BCCs one at a time, but I would really, really, really prefer not to. She has flat out said that there is no other option due to my young age (for what I have) and the locations, stages of the BCCs, chances of recurrence, etc.
I am digesting all the info here and looking to add in other strategies besides the sunspot as I am able. I've thought about seeking a second opinion from another derm, but maybe the time/$ is better spent on seeing a naturopath.
I watch Know the Cause regularly and they just had this product featured: RAPHA REMEDY with Oreganol P73. There are some testimonies from people with healed skin cancers. Any experience here with this?
Thanks for all the support, info and experience. I will try to update on whether the treatments I try work or not. |

Posted - 01/14/2010 : 14:44:35 I have been using castor oil and baking soda mixed into a paste (Edgar Cayce recipe) for about ten days (twice a day) on a suspicious, itching mole. My mole was not biopsied (I have no insurance) but was scary. With this treatment, it turned very red and crusty, along with bleeding. After ten days it is almost gone -- a small scab remaining. I took two days off for the skin to calm down, and now am going to apply again. I see other people have used this treatment for cancerous moles. There's a baking soda thread here. |

Posted - 10/03/2009 : 21:08:54 I'm interested to hear if anyone besides envisage has had any luck with the 3 supplements....Would also like to hear an update from Rose Petal on the Perrin's Blend. I tried to contact a couple of the "distributors" (as listed on the Perrin's webpage) of this product but it seems as though they don't carry it. |

Posted - 05/21/2009 : 21:58:39 Hi Trish,
Hope you are healing well! Glad the one on your forehead is gone! What did you decide to do with the other ones. Did the aldara get rid of them? Did you use the aldara on the one on the temple as well as the chest. thanks! |

Posted - 05/20/2009 : 00:51:47 I am starting this tonight, envisage. I had a bcc on my jawline that was removed surgically last week, still healing with stitches. However, my derm called to say that examination of the removed tissue showed cancer to the edges, suggesting there are cells at the borders that were not removed.
He therefore suggested that I go with mohs to get it all taken care of. After getting cut on and having to go through the bandages and healing of a 3/4 in incision, it was quite a blow to hear that I need to basically repeat with another surgery (the mohs).
I have been all over this site and am going to forgo the mohs, see how my current wound heals, and try this therapy. Should I see more signs of bcc after healing, I'll address my options then....but I refuse to go in and get Mohs because it is "likely" not all the cancer was removed.
Please keep me posted on your progress, as I will. (Also, the other poster who mentioned starting this recently, how is it working for you?)
Best, Peter |

Hello.
My cancer lesion is still present but smaller. PERRINS BLEND is healing it.
If the wound disappears, I will visit a dermatologist for a confirmation it is gone.
Btw, I never took any pictures of my cancer. |

Posted - 05/09/2009 : 11:01:30 Hi Envisage,
I read your earlier post and have started the protocol, now on my 5th day. Something is happening but I am holding my opinion for now trying not to get over optimistic on "Hopium".
I have a lot of sun damage, lots of Ak's, several BCC's and as you have, done the Mohs dance and several other alternative treatments with success and failure throughout.
I am scheduled for Thermosurgery this coming Tuesday on a very large doughnut ( nodular BCC ) on my forehead and one on my shoulder.
I know this is just whacking out the immediate problem and not a long term solution but I feel (hope) it is less invasive than Mohs and Blodroot paste.
I have red spots all over my face right now, but then I knew where most were because of all the other topical treatments I have been using... white iodine, cymillium, coconut oil, orange oil, vinegar, sunspot es..the list goes on. ugh!
If you wash your face (or wherever you suspect skin damage) with vinegar you will know where most of your problems are in a few minutes.
Anyway I "think" the large nodulars are shrinking but because this protocol is slow I am not sure.
My question to you is have you knocked out or shrunk significantly large bcc's?
I sent you an e-mail today and would like to speak with you if you are open to that.. Let me know. Bloodrootpaste@gmail.com
Thanks,
Tom

Posted - 05/09/2009 : 04:50:25 I have had basal cell cancer since 1980. Stop using Aldara and try this before Moh's surgery. As meticulous as it is, you cannot find all the cancer cells. After the incisions are healed, you will find new little skin cancers popping up on the incision lines, where cancer cells were 'seeded' during surger.
Curetting, frozen nitrogen treatments, sloppy excision under local anaesthetic, Moh's surgery #1, Moh's surgery #2, Aldara cream (4 minor applications for 8 hours, then removal left me flattened for two long months.
I also have CFS, FM and Multiple Food and Chemical sensitivities. What happens with CFS/FM/MFCS is that the cytokine producers in your body are working overtime, just as they do when you encounter a flu virus. The up-regulation causes all of the symptoms of CFS/FM. When you apply Aldara, even small spots (yours were large), it gets right into your circulation and instructs every cytokine producer to produce at maximum. I emailed the dermatologist and will never see her again. Aldara works and quickly, but it is chemotherapy; I didn't even have my blood tested.
More personal research and consultation with homeopaths and naturopaths. Started going the natural way and am very pleased with the results. I take L-Carnitine 500mg, Alpha-lipoic Acid 500 mg and CoQ10 100 mg at bedtime. This combination encourages greedy cancer cells to absorb as much as possible until they suicide. Normal cells only pick up what they need to help the damaged cell mitochondria (energy factories) and become healthier. Best of all, no horrible cytokine reaction.
Within 6 weeks of simply swallowing 4 pills at night, half a dozen 'unseen' cancers have cleared away from my forehead. Two patches of actinic keratosis have finally disappeared from my temples. Of two larger 'doughnut' cancers, one is gone and the other is flattening out as the above three dietary supplements each day.
Basal skin cancer is clearly genetically endemic to our branch of the family. My only brother appears to be the only one not affected. The rest of us have varying sizes cropping up or moles turning cancerous.
I take a number of other vitamins, minerals and supplements, but they were not mentioned as part of the regime.
Trish, trash the Moh's for now and try this for three months. Photo and measure the existing cancers each week. Ones that have been there the longest will take the longest to heal.
Good Luck, Sharon
Cancer cells under the skin which can't be seen yet, soon show up as small, flat, dull pink spots. These eventually turn brown and leave a shallow dent where the cancer cells used to be. Don't forget to sunblock these areas for even the smallest areas.
Keep your face clean. Do use a pH balanced cleanser and clean up with a gentle toner such as Witch Hazel. Do not use bar soap. It is alkaline; your skin is naturally acidic to protect it. Use a light moisturizer on unbroken skin.
Use an antibiotic cream on dry, seeping or crusty areas, washing first with 3% Hydrogen Peroxide. This does not sting.

Posted - 05/09/2009 : 00:49:20 Hi Rose Petal,
Sounds interesting - is the spot on the tip of your nose gone now? Will you have the dr check it to see what he/she thinks? Do you have any pix you could post? Thanks for sharing! |

Hi. I am glad you are content having surgery and hope you heal soon.
A biopsy in Jan. revealed that I have SCC. My letter from the doctor states:
"I would like to update you on the biopsy results from your visit on 01/05/09. The biopsy that I did on your nasal tip showed a squamous cell carcinoma. This is a skin cancer which usually just grows in the area where you see it. However, if it is not treated or gets too large, it can potentially spread throughout the body."
If I choose Mohs surgery, I would have to endure reconstruction and close the wound. Yikes! Radiation is far less invasive than surgery and reconstruction but it has very negative side effects from what I gather.
I ordered CYMILIUM and really liked it but it seemed to stall after 3 weeks. SCC grows faster than BCC anyway. My lesion is IN THE DERMIS! Knowing time is of the essence, I ordered PERRINS BLEND. Thus far, I see a MAJOR difference. |

Posted - 05/06/2009 : 13:20:34 Sorry for the assumption, Rose Petal, but so far you haven't shared your story so I wasn't sure what to think. Others have come to this forum solely to advertise the dubious claims of their products. I'm glad to hear the perrins is working for you. Can you tell us more? Do you have diagnosed skin cancer? What do you love about it? How is it working for you? With a personal testimony I would definitely be more open to trying it; if not for my present issues, then to hopefully avoid future ones.
I had one Moh's done yesterday on my forehead and I am recovering pretty well. There is definitely quite a bit of pain if I let the Tylenol wear off or if I sneeze, yeouch!! All of the BCC was removed on the first pass which was a blessing. I will have a white line scar about 2.2cm long. I will go back in a few weeks to have the second Moh's done on my temple. Now that the fear of the unknown is out of the equation I feel pretty good about the whole thing. We'll see how the healing goes now. Also, there is a bit of a lift in my eyebrow which will hopefully go down in a few days. Right now I constantly look inquisitive or mischievous. LOL! |

Posted - 05/04/2009 : 19:21:38 I do NOT work for PERRINS. In my case, the horrors of surgery and radiation freak me out! I have been using PERRINS BLEND for about 2 weeks now and love it.

Posted - 05/03/2009 : 22:36:52 Well, let's see, I've spent $30 on Sunspot, $30 on Cymillium and $30 on Aldara as well as one year of my time on these and other homemade recipes. The $ is not really the issue; perhaps I just can't stomach the disappointment I will be faced with after trying yet another thing that probably won't work.
Maybe Perrin's (or you if you work with them) would be willing to send a free sample so I can make an informed decision before throwing another $30 away.
On the Aldara front: it really sucks. I have definitely felt the flu like syptoms, fatigue, muscle aches, smelly discharge, bleeding, scabbing. I am now following the package directions and taking breaks as needed. The effect is fairly immediate; if I apply it at night I can be sure to have a reaction the next day; if I take a break I feel fine the following day. Powerful stuff for sure.
2 days till Moh's. I can still chicken out if anyone has a particularly disturbing Moh's story. :-) |

Posted - 04/27/2009 : 14:47:48 I've been on Aldara for a couple of weeks now. The large spot on my chest is pretty nasty now. The tiny one has also responded in a big way and is now the size of a scabby dime. :-) It isn't fun, but I'm committing myself to seeing it out for the 6-8 weeks.
My Moh's procedure is scheduled for May 5th. They want to do both sites at the same time. One on the left temple and one on right side of forehead. I'm really nervous. I'm not sure if I should get both over with or try to reschedule one of them. We'll see. |

Posted - 04/15/2009 : 10:19:01 hi dan, the jury's still out on the cymillium. I started doing a baking soda scrub and the cym seems to be kicking it up a notch now. I am going to keep at it until my moh's surgery. I figure it can't hurt. I've also added in coconut oil as a night moisturizer now and then.
The aldara is another story. My derm told me to use it twice a day every day. I did that for 5 days and after reading others' use on this forum, I read the insert which says to use it once a day, 5 days a week MAX and to wash it off after 8 hours! Well, I'm a little freaked out now and have taken a break due to bleeding, scabbing, oozing, itching, etc.
Thanks for the reminders on diet, I have done the flax/yogurt a few days and the supplements have arrived! I need to try the orange oil too. |

Posted - 04/12/2009 : 02:12:20 trish, if I got it right you tried Cymillium, epsom salts, hydrogen peroxide, and SunSpot ES topically so far without good results. Thanks for the valuable feedback. In my case, I found it was possible to completely turn things around mostly through nutrition but it seemed like it took years to take hold. I try to avoid trans and polyunsaturated fats (mono and saturated are OK) and milk, eat a Budwig diet breakfast (yogurt mixed with ground golden flax seed), don't eat protein late at night to keep my pancreatin enzymes available for cancer fighting, and take a lot of supplements (vitamin c, lysine, co-q10, quercetin, fish oil, Source Naturals Life Force multi (half dose), vitamin d, high gamma vitamin e, vitamin k, resveratrol, magnesium, & melatonin). I wish I knew what really worked but I am happy at least something does. I also had good luck with orange oil topically even if it was fairly unpleasant. Anyway, I wish you the best and keep us posted. |

Posted - 04/10/2009 : 18:44:10 Well, I'm a year out from my original biopsies and after trying the above remedies for several months, there has been little progress. The spots started to regrow and now that I am with Kaiser I have been prescribed Aldara (4 days into treatment) for the chest BCC and referred to Moh's for the facial BCCs. I gave up on Cymillium for a while, but now I'm back at the facial ones with higher dosages of it hoping to improve them somewhat before surgery.
I think for me it is easy to fall into doing nothing about my health b/c I put everything (kids, husband, home) before myself or I get paralyzed by the overwhelming info out there or by the fear of trying yet another thing that doesn't work. I meant to go on supplements a year ago and never did b/c I just couldn't decide what to buy!
I am now taking steps to get these things taken care of and I just have to trust that God will lead me to the right things. I finally placed an order with vitacost for a multi, astaxanthin, bee pollen, alfalfa, spirulina and omega 3's based on what I've read here and at Naturalnews.com. I will check back in to update on the Aldara and Moh's when it happens. Thanks again to everyone for all the great info! |

Posted - 04/24/2008 : 12:13:33 Trish,
When they do a biopsy they of course remove a good portion of the topical tumor which leaves the roots to be gotten by Mohs or further excision.
I had the big BCC on my head biopsied 2 weeks ago and it is healing up nicely but I know there is still a lot of cancer down in the excision.
My derm said he likes to wait a month before doing the Mohs as the immune system seems to go after the remaining tumor and shrink it substantially whereas if he had just done the Mohs as soon as he got the results he would need to take substantially more skin. We'll see.
I am also doing the epsom salts every morning and night on all my other tumors...not sure if I'm winning or losing. I spoke with another person on the board here "Mark" who is pretty certain he has overcome his BCC by seeing a naturapath who has had him on a regime of herbs, minerals and vitamins. Very encouraging news and follows Dan's philosophy of curing the cause not the resulting symptom |

Posted - 04/24/2008 : 11:24:22 Well, it's been about a month of using Sunspot. It really stung for a week or so but now there is no reaction when I apply it. I added in the epsom salt application now and then and also use H2O2 alternately. I just received cymillium and started that on the chest and one of the of the forehead BCCs last night. It stung the non-biopsied chest BCC, but not the one on my forehead. The chest BCC has shrunk and is starting to look better. It's hard to tell if the 2 biopsied on my forehead are healed from the biopsy or from the treatments. They appear to be just scars now, but I'm just not sure. |
