Hi- I have a basal cell on the side of my face. Thru picking it,it continues to scab up,but never heals, either I pick it,or it gets wet in the shower and the scab falls off. I've put neo-sporin on it and a band-aid but then it's moist and won't heal either. I'm trying to get the scab completely gone then treat the basal cell with orange oil or cymillium. Can I just put the cymillium right on top of the scab,or should I let the scab go away and then start my treatment. I know this sounds stupid but I don't really know what to do.

Thanks

J.M.

mookster,
I would apply the treatment right onto the scab. The scab will probably come off in a few days as the cymilium lubricates and softens it.

I like to leave the cymilium on for at least a half hour or more. If cosmetics matter (like being at work with a blob of tan goo on you face) then wipe off the excess after a half hour or more and rub the rest in as best as you can. I also find it seems to work best being applied right after a shower or face cleaning....it makes it sting more then anyway, which I assume is working better. I used the cymilium much like the directions stated - three times for 5 days, then twice a day. Occassionaly I would do three times a day after the five days and take a weekend day off.

From my experience don't expect to see many results for at least 10 days to two weeks. At that time it may appear to get worse. It may get more red and inflamed around it, almost swollen in apprearance and maybe make you a little scared of what you are doing to yourself. A day or so of that and hopefully it really gets to looking better - maybe by 50% or more. I guess we are calling that phenomenon "getting worse before it gets better".

Anyway, good luck and let us know how its going.
