Hey everyone, I actually thought the baking soda worked and once I seen the return of the BCC I realized either my BCC is too deep or this just isnt working anymore.

So, I went to the doc on Monday for a prescription refill and he took a look at my BCC on my nose and said "this has got to come off, I can schedule you for Thursday morning for an excision"...I reluctantly agreed.

Well, guess what?....I chickened out! After he explained that he would have to cut out a good amount of tissue as he has to make sure the margins are healthy skin and that afterward he would send it to pathology and if it wasnt all clear I would need to go back for another excision.

I asked how big the scar would be and if it would make my nose look out of shape and he says " Well I should have enough tissue to work with so I dont expect a very large noticable scar but if we have to excise again you may have to see a plastic surgeon for a skin graft".

This is why I chickened out! I also chickened out on trying the mild cansema black salve as I had heard some stories and didnt know what to expect. Well, after researching for a couple days I finally decided that I have no choice that this thing needs to be off my face.

I read a number of testimonials where others that have had excision and have also tried the black salve said they would use the black salve again before they went under the knife. So I dug out the salve kit I bought awhile back and mixed it together.

I applied a super tiny bit last night around midnight...I did feel a slight tingle but that was it but it was a very very small amount I tried so applied it a little thicker about an hour later.

I was expecting to feel intense pain but all I felt was a slight burining sensation and a terrible ithc that i couldnt scratch lol. I looked at this morning and there is some reddening around the area so I made another application...this time its burning and itching a bit more but nothing I would really call pain...I mean the Afterbite hurt worse than this.

I dont know if this is what i should expect but I will remove this last application tonight and see what it looks like....right now the burining and itching is constant but no major reaction yet....I hope this works!

Here is a pic (finally figured out cam) after 24 hour application of salve. I should have took a before pic but my mind wasnt on that at the time.

Dear Joe, Having been there, I know pretty much how you feel. I wasn't going to post these pics until my lesion was completely healed but

13.89 KB considering the pressure you are under (by your doc) I decided to post them now. They begin with this past August 29 and continue with pics until yesterday. The lesion is even further closed today and will send pic if/when it closes completely. This is the Curaderm treatment which, at this point, I highly recommend!!! If you have any questions feel free to send them my way!

Well its been 24 hours since I applied the salve so I cleaned the area off and it looks red and inflamed on the edges and the BCC itself is a darker color.

It burns a bit constantly and is no longer an itch. Im not sure if I should apply a second treatment right away or if I should wait and see what happens...any input would be great...I did purchase the mild black salve and it said it may take more than one application.
