Posted - 06/14/2018 : 01:18:57 I am creating this new topic because I think this simple treatment deserves to be used as a first stategy for an actinic or squamous cell carninoma.
During the last 3 years I've tested most of the techniques described in this forum (except bloodroot and zinc chloride). I finally got a succes using a mix of baking soda and coconut oil.
1 - it is very safe and can be used near a sensitive area (eyes or lips) 2 - it is the most effective treatment I tried on me 3 - it only need one application each day during 2 or 3 weeks 4 - it does not really hurt, a bit itchy or burning sometimes. 5 - it is very cheap using widely available products 6 - it can be used on large areas without affecting a healthy skin
For the mix I used virgin coconut oil mixed with a pharmaceutical grade sodium bicarbonate (kitchen baking soda would be fine).
Each day after washing my skin in the morning with soap I applied the mixture and let it all the day. If the skin is cancerous there is a reaction after a day or two, it can be a burning reaction or a itchy sensation. On some area the reaction was too intense and I had to use the mixture only each 2 days.
After 2 or 3 weeks the skin does not react, the cancer spots were completely cleared. I am now at the 4th week of this treatment, the skin is no more reacting but I will continue for some weeks to be sure all is OK.
I hope this simple method will work for you, first I was sceptical about it because I thought it was too simple to work.

Posted - 02/06/2021 : 16:29:50 Hi Jessica ... Yes, 5 lbs seems like a lot but,one needs to get enough from the carrots and this is a natural sort of approach which cannot be jimmied down by chemicals or something... Also, if you are not going to continue to apply baking soda, I would look into what Dr Sircus or somebody says is a good amount to drink daily. I think it would be a mistake to take it completely out of your diet this early. Just adjust the amount of plain water you drink or something so you dont float away lol... I am glad to read you are looking better than before and try not to make the common mistake of stopping your therapies too soon. A very wise doctor named (Budwig) created a novel approach to cancer by making sure that her patients changed their diets drastically due to what had changed in basic eating in modern societies and people had to start gulping down a whole lot of cottage cheese and flax seed oil but, they needed to continue eating it... https://www.budwig-stiftung.de/en/dr-johanna-budwig/her-research.html

I have increased my water intake to about 100-120oz a day, and have incorporated Vitamin C, D, Grapeseed Extract, and the aforementioned Pancreatin. You're totally right about mirror lock and I'm learning to just avoid them. The rash is grotesque and, like most freak shows, it's tough to look away. I did stop treating my chest area and have switched from BS/coconut to Aquafor to keep the skin soft as it heals. The area does look better: no open lesions, just raised, red bumps where the skin is trying to repair itself (I hope). While it still looks ugly and inflamed, this is the first time in several years where I haven't had scaly, scabby lesions sprinkles across my chest. Hoping the inflamed bumps continue to go down and the redness goes away. I do have a juicer and will incorporate carrot juice as best I can (5 LBS DANG!!!). Thanks so much for your help and I will keep posting as things evolve.

Hi there, thank you for your quick reply and interest. The idea of using Pancreatin as a topical is mentioned a few times throughout the forum and specifically by Dan and Bspratt above, in this thread, back in 2018. I did try it and man was it uncomfortable! I have decided to just increase my oral pancreatin and forgo that experience no matter how affective it might be. I have been applying the BS/Coconut oil to my neck, chest, and torso every morning for 3 weeks now and have convinced myself to follow through for 30 days. It's ugly. It burns, swells, blisters, itches, you name it. BUT, i've come to accept that this is the natural part of the healing process and will stay calm and be patient. If you have any suggestions on what to look for when treatment should be stopped and healing should begin, I'd appreciate it. I'm kinda following the treatment cycle of flourouracil: treat for 3-4 weeks till skin erosion, then allow for healing. Just not really sure how to define skin erosion so any insights appreciated. Thank you so much! I am so grateful for this forum! I was losing hope and reading through people's experiences gave me the courage to try to heal myself once and for all. Since day 1, my energy levels and mental clarity have improved despite the stress of the treatment. In earlier posts, someone likens the cancer experience to it having "a grip on you" and it really resonated for me. I feel for the first time in years that it's finally relaxing its grip and I can breath a little freer. Looking forward to starting the healing process and moving on with my life!
Hi Jessica, this is a great site and has helped many...
Help me understand things a bit more here, are your lesions on many parts of your body? Are they bigger than a quarter in size?
Also, plan on at least 60 days of topical applications if you really want to smack the crap out of this stuff you have.
The other thing to realize is that things wont work well if you are still drinking soda pop, eating ice cream or candy.
Do it inside out....
Sodium Bicarbonate: Nature's Unique First Aid Remedy by Mark Sircus.
A good read and worth the money.
As weird as this is, if it were me just starting this stuff, I would go to the mirror and take good pics of my face or wherever with my cell phone to see how things were at the start then, 2 weeks later take more and then 2 weeks later take more.
Try and avoid the mirror and stop gawking in between.
Remember that you are probably your worst critic about yourself and skin cancer is no simple matter.
Lastly, I would invest in a juicer. new or used if a lot cheaper and buy 5 lb bags or bigger of fresh carrots to juice and drink 5lbs daily or the very least, once every other day... Do this for at least 90 days...

Posted - 01/24/2021 : 14:24:27 Hi Jessica, I think people typically use Pancreatin due to its favors in the digestive environment and I have not heard of its use being helpful topically. But, anything is possible I guess. Personally I feel the main thing to watch out for is not to weaken the ratios of the baking soda/coconut oil combination too much. Kinda like, I would not use too much BBQ sauce on a Big Mac because it would ruin the taste combination even though I love BBQ sauce on most everything lol ... Good Luck !! |

It's been itchy, painful, and ugly, but I think I am starting to see some improvement. I incorporated Pancreatin orally last week and was curious to try applying it topically. Can anyone provide a recommended usage rate for the powdered pancreatin in the BS/Coconut oil application? THanks

Bye-Bye Basal Cell Carcinomas
Now that you know the basics, I want to share a personal story with you. Back in 1995, I developed a basal cell carcinoma on my right ear. This crusty, raised lesion, about a half-inch in diameter, itched a bit and bled every once in a while. My dermatologist recommended surgical removal and a skin graft but I opted to try a less invasive route first. I mixed up a paste containing vitamin C and DMSO (dimethyl sulfoxide) and applied it to the affected area a few times each day. In just three and a half weeks, the basal cell carcinoma had completely disappeared—a fact confirmed by my flabbergasted dermatologist.

Posted - 09/12/2019 : 15:08:06 Thanks for all of the posts regarding baking soda and coconut oil, I have followed this forum for some time, trying many of the formulas. Upon trying the sodium bicarb & coconut oil on what Dermatologist (for 2 yrs.) described as Actinic Keratosis, some of the dead crusted AK tissue dissolved revealing ingrown hairs. I do have Pre- cancerous spots and will continue the BS/ Coco as well as Petty spurge. My spurge plants are so small, it's difficult to get any sap from them. Are there any updates on the PH issue? I have read that "The human body must keep its pH within a very narrow range in order to survive and function. The 'normal' range is 7.35 - 7.45 for arterial blood (which is where we measure it medically).Mar 11, 2016" I drink alkaline water to help control my Gerd . Befree

Posted - 07/08/2019 : 14:09:58 I gave up on topicals for the spot on my forehead. The crater was getting larger but the depth was diminished considerably and eruption was only around a thinner rim. I chickened out, being afraid the ring would grow too large to resolve. I went to a plastic surgeon and he did a large biopsy which may have gotten it all or make removal easier if not. He said it is basal it may have roots that will require microscopic surgery. Since I had used him for a basal cell carcinoma near or the same area I was able to see him w/o a referral.
I told him I self medicated due to unsatisfactory appearance of Mohs surgery in another areas. He said he would do a long horizontal incision if further surgery is needed and I would get a minor brow lift as a positive side effect. |

Posted - 01/04/2019 : 16:12:23 Eddie, in my case I also tried a lot of diffferent methods : orange oil, frankincense and petty spurge.
Some spots were cleared completely but one was still there and seems now clean after the baking soda treatment.
I believe there are several grade of skin cancer, some are sensitive to a treatment while some are not, this is why I also try to cycle several treatment to avoid partial healing and a return of the cancer.
I also follow a diet to raise my body PH, I like the idea that it could help for internal cancer the same way the baking soda is acting on the skin.

Posted - 01/04/2019 : 15:41:32 Hi LZG, up to now no return of the cancer but in the past I already cleared this area with petty spurge and it came back 6 months later.
I think it is too late to declare this area clean, I'll report the result in the next months.
In your case you have nothing to loose, you can give a try, it worked for me, it could work for you. If the area is reacting like a burned skin after 3 days it's a good sign, don't stop, just keep applying less frequently. Keep trying until there is no reaction at all, this is the way I did it.
Good luck and please report, we are all learning from each others.

Posted - 11/15/2018 : 12:50:24 The areas that I am using the mixture on have been treated before with efudex but afterwards developed into rough spots. I wet the spots with DMSO before applying the mixture. Nothing has ulcerated but the rough spots are getting smaller. I am also treating a spot on my nose that has been treated a couple of times to ulceration with efudex but a little bump always remains when healed. The mixture has caused no ulceration but the bump is less prominent. I don't mind the mixture and am willing to apply it forever if need be in hopes of preventing return of problems.
I also have a spot on my forehead (with efudex history) that I have been treating for several months with SunSpot ES. It is almost totally healed. After it is healed I plan to apply the mixture daily to that spot as well hopefully to prevent yet another recurrence. |

Posted - 10/31/2018 : 22:53:31 Hi A162. Just wanted to know if your treated area is still clear. I was diagnosed with SCC in situ about 5 weeks ago. Tried many technics with no success. I read a topic that someone tried it on BCC but it came back. When did you notice a progress to the treatment? Thank you. |

Posted - 10/11/2018 : 03:21:17 Sorry to hear that it did not work, I got the same reaction 4 years ago and thought the coconut oil was bad for my skin. Anivoc I assume you're right, the skin might react to the coconut oil and cause a burn like reaction if the cancer is too big.
I believe that a skin cancer is the sign that the body has failed to eliminate it. Trying to cure a skin cancer locally works but the cancer will probably return. I consider my skin cancer was a good thing because it pushed me to change things in my life and thus avoid a more dangerous internal cancer. Since 4 years I am following the general cancer prevention stategy guidelines from this forum.

Posted - 10/09/2018 : 11:08:02 Sorry I did not take a picture but applied the mixture to BCC for about 3 days and the area swelled and turned red. Interestingly, the SCC about 2 inches above and to Left on forehead also turned red. I stopped after 3 days because it just kind of looked wierd and no destruction had occurred. I'm used to bloodroot paste doing its thing after a day or so. Anyhow thought to table this for now since I'm still healing and currently going thru Mohs. Posted - 10/09/2018 : 07:30:45 I think on small lesions this recipe may very well work...On the big ones a few inches or bigger or maybe just because they were nodular basal cell I found this treatment to be very painful and just not tolerable nor effective enough to merit going on so I quit. I contacted the woman who went viral with the "I cured my grandmother's skin cancer video / blog" and asked her did your grandmothers cancer ever come back....In fact it had and she retreated...The other point I felt she was remiss in was emphasizing that this protocol can be painful.... a whole lot more than just itchy as it was in my case...again my lesions are big and maybe that makes a difference but I couldn't tolerate the daily agony...with so little response / results... |

Posted - 10/06/2018 : 05:24:13 Hi Bill, sorry I have no photos, I tried once to upload some on the forum but was unable to attach them to the post. From my experience BCC was healed with frankincense oil or petty spurge. Orange oil helped on some squamous cell or actinic keratosis. I also had metatypical carcinomas, those are the worst because they can spread and are very agressive. I also tried a lot of other essential oils and products without success. I believe it is necessary to use several method because often carcinomas are of different type, there is no 100% success with one method for what I've learned. Today I can't do more experimentation because I don't see any problem on my skin. The last time I saw a dermatologist was 5 years ago, thanks to this forum. It would be good to know if a mix of coconut enzymes and baking soda is effective, I hope you will have good results soon. |

Posted - 10/04/2018 : 18:46:52 Mixing the enzymes could be interesting, I'll be very interested to know if you get a positive result. I washed my face in the morning, applied the paste and did not cover it, just let the paste penetrate the skin during the day. I think you can cover the skin with a 3M micropore band if needed. If the coconut oil is under 22C it is solid, in this case you have to warm it to mix the baking soda. In the begining on some area it was reacting too much so I did a break for a few days. After the skin started to recover I was able to apply the paste each day. I did this on a large part of my face and was surprized to find that I got several area that looked normal but reacted, probably a potential growing squamous cell carcinoma.
Previously I got some spots cleared with orange oil, euphorbia peplus or frankincense but some were not removed, I got those with the coconut/soda. During the 10 last years I was diagnosed with squamous, basal and metatypical (agressive type) carcinomas, before reading this forum I was going for chirurgy each year. |

Posted - 10/04/2018 : 17:45:21 Thanks Eddie - I mixed some up this morning and added the pancreatic enzymes as Dan suggested/applied to a small BCC that I am scheduled for Mohs. Do you just let it dry on your skin or do you cover? Do you only reapply daily? |

Posted - 10/03/2018 : 09:21:17 Hi Eddie, the mixture thickness depends on the ratio coconut oil/baking soda, I used a ratio that gave a paste so I don't have baking soda falling everywhere.
I had some areas that reacted after 4 days. Sometimes it might be very itchy, avoid applying it before bed to avoid a bad night. Once the skin is cleared there is no reaction.
Today my forehead is still clear, I sincerelly hope that you will get the same positive result.

Posted - 06/16/2018 : 14:40:22 Great stuff, Al!
A good check to see if the cancer is gone is to topically apply orange oil or its active ingredient d-limonene and wait for a burning sensation that will last up to 30 minutes if there is cancer. Normal skin should not react. I prefer d-limonene (Jarrow brand) because it does not make you smell so much like an orange. In my experience, D-limonene is also a decent skin cancer treatment when applied daily over a period of a few weeks. I felt that noting the onset (indicates cancer's depth), duration (indicates cancer's size), and intensity (indicates cancer's health) of the stinging helped me to know how close to the end I was as the stinging lessened in duration and intensity each day.
For readers new to this, here are some links for baking soda, coconut oil, pancreatin, orange oil, and d-limonene. There is nothing for sale on this website and this is intended only to clarify the products involved, although Vitacost is a good supplier.

Posted - 06/15/2018 : 07:07:46 Hi Dan, I erased the last visible carcinoma I had with this solution but more than that I also treated 3 large areas (the largest one was about 6 cm) on my face that reacted to the coconut/soda. These areas had nothing visible but I believe a potential cancer was growing silently.
Other product I tested was petty spurge, the spot was partly cleared but it was painfull and dangerous because it was close to my eye. I fully agree with your explanation, I measured the baking soda with water at PH 8, this doesn't hurt the normal skin but seems to kill cancerous cells.
In the past I also tried coconut oil mixed with frankincense oil but I did not kick the 8 mm cancerous spot I was targeting. I believe most of the effect is due to the baking soda.
I am also following the health guidelines from this forum, raising body PH, taking vits and minerals and pancreatic enzymes.

Posted - 06/14/2018 : 23:14:34 Thanks Al,
This sounds like a very good first thing to try! It does not sound very difficult to endure if it does work and there is not much to lose if it doesn't work. There are sound reasons for this to be effective. The baking soda will turn the skin mildly alkaline over time. Cancer needs and actually generates an acidic environment when it is thriving. Cancer's natural enemy is pancreatic enzymes which work best at a pH of 8.5, which happens to be the same pH as baking soda. To maximize circulating pancreatic enzymes, going without food for 10 or more hours a day and/or supplementing them orally or topically will help. I love using coconut oil for delivery of the baking soda, plus its lauric acid also kills cancer.
