Does anyone know why in some instances black salves can leave “lumpy scars”—for want of a better description. And do these scars eventually flatten?

Also, do you know if the reddening or whitening of scar areas is permanent. I have a reddened area after using bloodroot paste hat has been there a few days now, and a white area about 2 years old after using bloodroot paste. I think the white area is probably permanent, but would the red be? |

I have been dealing with those lumpy scars for some time on several areas I originally used bloodroot paste ...some stayed small and some grew and as evidenced later were actually remaining nodular type BCC's...I suspect , unfortunately they are more often than not remnants of the BCC rather than scar tissue...that said they could just be scar tissue in some cases and in that case how they smooth out or not over time varies from person to person..some people "keloid" some people don't.
Of note is that it seems I had this issue more on my fore head than on my meatier areas like my nose or shoulder which healed up wonderfully...
The shoulder one did come back dang it.. knock on wood.. the nose one is fine some 12 years later.. |
