Posted - 08/29/2007 : 17:07:18 One thing I would like to make people aware of here is a drug called Lamisil-Terbinafine... I have had great results for knocking out my BCC and other skin problems with the methods I have already posted here on this forum.. I still have had a bit of recurring skin problems..I have had a few more of the BCC looking skin lesion's pop up ,which I know are not BCC because BCC takes a bit of time to develop.. A doctor friend of mine recommended that I try a drug called Lamisil-Terbinafine,which is for treating fungus infection..Lamisil-Terbinafine knocks out a whole host of fungus related problems.. My skin condition did not look like I had a fungus problem,my skin looked like it had a pre cancerous red skin lesion.. I have tried every thing else so I thought I might as well try this...I have been taking the 250mg tablets and also putting on the cream with some of the crushed tablets mixed in.. I have been having great results clearing up the last bit of my skin problems with this... In case you are thinking that this is just a ordinary fungal cream you should know until a few weeks ago this stuff cost 450 dollars for 30 250mg tablets..Now they have generic out and the price is down to like 25 dollars for 30 tablets and the cream is like 10 dollars a fraction of its former price...My main point I want to get across here is this is Strong stuff... Maybe there is some sort of link between skin cancer and fungus I do not know alls I know is this has been some good good stuff for my skin problems and it does not hurt to use like all the other treatments seem too... I would highly recommend Lamisil-Terbinafine in your tool box of skin treatments...This suff works slow so you need to give it a few weeks to start working..What works good for one person might not work good for another but but this is worth trying...

Posted - 10/25/2011 : 15:01:10 Lamisil tablets contain a powerful drug with LOTS of side effects. Anyone contemplating taking it should search on defective drug or similar. Over 100 drugs are currently lawsuit-prone including Lamisil. |

Posted - 08/03/2011 : 19:43:13 I know how toenail fungal infection can be nasty because it happened to me. I tried covering the problem up with nail polish everytime because it looked really ugly but that only further aggravated the problem. I finally saw the podiatrist who suggested that I try Fungusil (www.fungusil.com) because she recommends it to people with fungal infection. After several applications I noticed the improvement. Now I am fungus free and whenever I hear people complaining about nail discoloration, I always recommend ZeroFungus because I've tried and tested it and there's no looking back. |

Posted - 07/31/2011 : 21:45:51 I heard that Lamisil has side effects, so I didn't use it to address my toenail fungus. Instead, I used an otc anti-fungal liquid treatment called Fungusil and consistently applied it on my infected nails. I also combined it with home remedies like tea tree oil and oregano oil. After just several weeks, my yelalow and crumbly nails started to look well again. |

Posted - 09/18/2007 : 17:32:15 Also, I diagnosed myself with candida a couple of years ago. I took no sugar or starch for a month and felt on top of the world. My candida is associated with tons of skin problems from cysts to dandruff to crusty scabs on my scalp, to jock itch. Many of these problems flare up whenever I fall off the wagon and eat too much sugar. I have found that putting yogurt(homemade works best) directly onto my skin during flare ups helps to immediately regulate my skin and can cure any itch for up to several weeks. I assume in order to totally eliminate some of my problems though, I would have to severely regulate my diet as well. |

I was looking into potato glycoalkaloids after hearing a story about Texas A&M breeding new varieties of potatoes with reduced glycoalkaloids. Basically, I wanted to find out if they were the same kind as found in eggplant, and how the amounts might compare ounce for ounce...but anyway, I came across this...
""At a low pH level some SGAs [Steroidal glycoa1kaloids] have shown to have antifungal effects.""
http://www.redepapa.org/glycoalkaloids.pdf
...so the addition of low pH vinegar makes sense to combine with glycoalkaloids to use topically especially if there might be a fungal connection. |

Interesting.
While researching nutrition and supplements I did a little reading about probiotics. Probiotic supplements are said to help keep unfriendly bacteria like Candida in check. Overpopulation by Candida is known to cause problems like, among other things rashes and dry, flaking skin, eczema, dermatitis, acne, skin discoloration ...hmmmm, that's a lot of skin related issues?
Is anyone currently taking any probiotic supplements? Anyone have any experience with probiotics - good or bad? If skin cancers indeed have a fungal origin probiotics may be a possible immune system booster/restorer.
Here are a couple of short reads on probiotics.... http://www.healingdaily.com/detoxification-diet/probiotics.htm

Posted - 09/08/2007 : 04:28:14 I tried putting some Iodine on my skin every day for about a week a few months ago and I did not really notice that much of a change..I would sure be willing to give Iodine another chance and look at it closer with all this new info here...
The Lamasil cream is only 1% so it is not very srong..I am sure 1% is just fine for knocking out athletes foot but for it to be really effective you need to crush up the tablets and make a paste...I am not saying the cream is no good..It helps its just a bit weak...
I looked up Lamasil and found it dissolves best in rubbing alcohol but I find the binders in the tablets will not dissolve in alcohol so a mixture of 50% water and 50% alcohol works very well..Also use only your finger to apply the paste a cloth absorbs to much of the tablet....
I think it would be important to also take the tablets orally too..
I want to read Dr. Simoncini's work more closely in the next few days...
I am still using the sunspot cream with the Lamasil and a little orange oil and a touch of eggplant..I had already cleared up most of my skin problems but I had a few new ones crop up after I had cleaned up my old problem spots..But sense I have been taking the Lamasil I have had no new problems pop up..I am so happy about that....
I had one really nasty spot on my butt that nothing seemd to cure sunspot, eggplant, orange oil, bloodroot, freezing, heat and much more..I was about ready to go under the knife...I do not mean to say nothing helped it,all these things helped but did not finish the job...The Lamasil paste I made has finished the job on this nasty spot...
So thats were I am with all this...A few months ago I had so many problem spots I could hardly function...I am doing a 1000% better now...

Posted - 09/08/2007 : 02:12:09 A practical resource for anti-fungal treatments is at Environmental Illness Resource http://www.ei-resource.org/anti-fungal.asp They describe the foods that should be avoided such as sugar containing foods, moldy foods, and packaged and processed foods. Many problem foods are not obvious, several that I eat are on the list. Also described are six prescription drugs including Lamisil and natural anti-fungals such as coconut oil, berberine, oregano, garlic, colloidal silver, the enzyme cellulase, and plant tannins such as black walnut hull. They mention allergic reactions, liver problems, and congestive heart failure as potential side effects to the prescription drugs. I think coconut oil is a good topical candidate for skin cancer. |

Posted - 09/07/2007 : 21:10:03 After breezing through Dr. Simoncini's site it appears he is adamant that all cancer is fungus derived. Certainly it is accepted by the American medical community that the HPV causes cervical cancer and causes genital warts. Candida is a fungus that Dr.Simoncini believes is at the root of all cancer.
He uses sodium bicarbonate to kill the fungus and mentions the word "Salts" in his writings. Blood root paste main active ingredient other than Bloodroot itself is Zinc Chloride or Zinc "Salt".

Iodine eh?
Fforest for the record I suggest you set up a blog and explain how you treated your skin cancers in as detailed a description as possible.
I am very interested in the lamasil. Saw the cream at the drug store yesterday and was tempted to buy it.
I wonder if just taking the Lamasil internally and topically will do the job without the eggplant regime?
Your thoughts? |

Posted - 09/07/2007 : 13:54:48 This treatment plan I wrote about here
2-3 Eggplants 5-6 dollars Vinegar 1 bottle 4 dollars Sunspot cream 1 tube 25 dollars Hydrogen Peroxide 2 dollars Cotton balls 1 dollar orange oil 6 dollars Dmso-??? many prices under 10 dollars.. Aloe vera jell (whole leaf)??? many prices Total (around give or take) 50-55 dollars to treat skin cancer
This treatment plan works and it works well it will knock out just about any skin condition you have...I still use parts of it when needed..BUT BUT BUT This treatment plan does not get to the root of the problem..Sense I have beeen taking the Lamisil-Terbinafine I have had no new outbreaks in almost a month..Before I had a new skin disaster out break 2 or 3 times a week...So I am now leaning strongly in the direction of the fungal theory...

Posted - 09/07/2007 : 06:39:22 About cancer and fungus connection.
Here one doctor - an oncologist from Rome - who says all cancer including skin cancer come fom fungus. See http://www.curenaturalicancro.com/index.php
Here is what he says specificaly about skin cancer:
All skins cancers are always caused by Candida fungus which has adapted itself to metabolizing the most proteinaceous constituents of the epidermis and that can, therefore, only rarely be treated with sodium bicarbonate solutions.
The treatment to choose for epithileomas, basaliomas, and melanomas is iodine solution at seven per cent, as it is capable of precipitating the proteins of the body of the fungus and destroying them completely in a short time. If the lesions are fairly small, they must be painted with the solution 10-20-30 times twice a day for five days and then once for another ten days so that they become very dark. When the eschar is formed and it is higher than the epidermic plane, it is necessary to continue to paint under and above it, even if at first this causes a sharp pain.
This very same operation must be repeated for the second eschar that is formed. At this point, the lesion may be considered destroyed, because after the third cycle it is possible to reach the center of the neoplasia, where the colonies try to resist to the last.
In the presence of a tumor of large dimensions it is necessary to perform a cycle of subcutaneous infiltrations with sodium bicarbonate at five per cent solution under the lesion for the purpose of liberating the tissue from the possible invasion of the deep planes and of the basal lamina before performing the treatment with iodine solution. If this is not done, we risk the fungus, once destroyed at a superficial level, defending itself by trespassing into those levels where a conclusive action of the iodine solution is impossible.
In cases where the tumor has invaded a cutaneous-mucous transitional zone such as the anus, eyelids, vagina, or mouth, it is necessary to perform a preliminary treatment of the mucous area with bicarbonate and then, after the elimination of the colonies existing there, proceed to treat the cutis with iodine solution.
It is appropriate to highlight that the same type of therapy is also to be applied to psoriasis and to the known fungin afflictions.
In fact, the difference between cutaneous mycosis, psoriasis, and tumors consists only of a variation of aggressiveness and thus of depth of rooting, since the causal agent is always the same: a fungus. Sometimes other corrosive salts can be used as a function of the location in the body for the therapy. What is certain is that dermal ointments and lotions are only rarely effective. |

Posted - 09/05/2007 : 22:31:31 interesting thought on the fungus idea. One of the lesions I had on my forehead was suspect to me but behaved differently than the BCC's ( Never bled) When I went to the derm he told me it was a wart / fungus of some sort. I used an over the counter wart removal liquid Salicylic acid and it knocked out that growth.
Certainly fungus's tax the immune system and our immune system weakens as we get older anyway. Knocking out the fungus would help our immune systems fight off other intruders such as skin cancer.. who knows maybe their is a fungus or virus that causes skin cancer like human papillomavirus HPV or genital warts causes cervical cancer. |

Posted - 09/02/2007 : 06:58:26 I did get a blood test even though I thought I did not need it...If you are a adult with a healthy liver the odds of you having problems with Lamisil Terbinafine tablets are very very small...The 1% cream you can buy over the counter...The only side effect that I have noticed is it dulls my taste a bit and makes me feel less hungry... |

Posted - 09/01/2007 : 21:24:38 Please be careful using Lamisil. This drug is used primarily for nail fungus. My son aquired this condition when he was at Parris Island. He was given blood tests evry month for 3 months because Lamisil can cause liver damage. This Lamisil Terbinafine seems to be stronger. So I would suggest you talk to the Dr. that recommended it or do some research on the Phys. Desk Ref. |

Posted - 08/30/2007 : 22:22:10 Just to add to this...My Dads friend was the doctor who told me to try Lamisil Terbinafine...I told him I though this was a stupid idea because I have never seen any picture of any skin that had a fungal problem that look like skin cancer or pre skin skin cancer like I have had for a long time...I said that fungal problems itch and my skin does not itch..THe doctor said a few kinds of fungal problems do not itch..I was sure the Lamisil Terbinafine would not work... I was wrong it worked very very well to clean up the rest of my skin problems...I am liking the Lamisil Terbinafine more and more.. I really really love it does not hurt, sting, burn, smell like almost every thing else on here...I really wonder how a fresh BCC would respond to some crushed Terbinafine tablets?I would try this but I already got mine cleared up...This is the first time in years I have not had thoes dry crusty spots on my face... |

Posted - 08/29/2007 : 20:35:17 I don't know what is in Lamisil Terbinafine, but I think it is interesting that the glycoalkaloids solasonine and solamargine released by the eggplant and vinegar remedy are also considered anti-fungal. It could be the same cancer pathway being attacked. Lamisil is also available as a non prescription topical cream for athlete's foot fungus. |
