Hi – I need some advice. I have used Cansema before with success and everything went well. This time, I’m confused. When I initially put on the Cansema – I didn't feel anything for 12 hours and took it off ( I hadn’t used it for ages and had forgotten the steps to leave 24 hours).

In a day or 2 (7th July - pic with coin)I noticed it was inflaming and so decided to give another application.

I also wondered if the Cansema was reduced in strength, it was a few years old and as I had moved to Darwin and thought the heat may have effected it – it also had dried out. I applied again. I didn't really get any tingling.

The inflammation increased. (9th July)I began reading the forum in more depth. I saw many images that looked much worse than mine – but I don't believe I’ve seen such inflammation. I ordered more Cansema ( just in case) but also put another application on (12th)– moistened with water – as it was very dry. I’ve had intermittent pain ( not enough for pain killers), itching/tingling. I’ve put Papaya ointment on it to keep moist and Aloe Vera sap. I keep it covered.
Its very tender – and very sore if hit accidently.

It is now seeping a small amount of blood and has a white centre plus a white area on the side of the raised rim.

Should I put another application on or leave? For how long?

I find I’m tired –possibly my immune system ‘fighting’ this is causing that?

Can get it very wet by going swimming ? Pool ( chemicals) or sea ( salt water)?

17th – still raised.

Thanks for all who contribute to the forum –its overwhelming – but with patience I read some good advice.

I haven’t found any alternative or medical practioners up here yet whom I feel I could trust to go and see.

Hmm the images didnt go in the order I hoped and the date was in the title...but I'm sure you can figure out the progress.
Much appreciate some feedback - I'm due to go for a holiday next week to NTh Queensland and am wondering if I can swim ?

That's a great result Cbelle. Does your naturopath use Aloe for advanced BCCs or just developing ones?

I'll ask her - next week - but I think its for developing ones.

Just as a side note: A friend of mine forgot how long to leave his cansema on for and left it on for 2 weeks!!! Interestingly, there was no ill effect of doing this and the BCC is gone.

Wow congratulations! Looks like it is healing nicely.

The advice I was given when using bloodroot was to apply for 24 hours, Clean the wound, apply triple antibiotic ointment and keep covered until full healing has occurred changing the bandage and cleaning the wound regularly.
The tumor usually takes about 2 weeks to fall out and another two weeks for healing to get to a point where you don't need to keep it covered anymore.. Bigger tumors will take a little longer.

Well - just in case anyone is interested. I DID find an excellent Naturopath in Darwin. Her mother has used Cansema and now uses Aloe Vera - on first sign of anything. She said mine was progressing as per expected except a slight infection occurring.
She put me on extra strength vitamin C and some Zinc - told me to drink a green juice ( kale mix) daily.
Its all progressing along. Also dealing with my digestion.

I expect I'll wait a week longer and do the treatment again - with the fresh batch of Cansema.( now called Amazon Cream.

After my initial freaking out - I'm now glad I chose this way - rather than having something just cut out - I have developed a relationship with my body and healing process. I believe either way is a gamble - but I much prefer this way.

Hi - I would like to ask for some more advice. Since being away on holidays and waiting for the next batch of Cansema - things have been changing on my hand.
It swelled and bleed constantly from the site. I had to cover it as I was travelling.

After I went for a swim in the sea - I noticed much white activity.

And then it seemed to want to create a scab - but often the bandage would stick to it - and pull parts of it away - I tried to keep it loose - just to cover but allow air through too.

It then has dried out alot.. I knocked it today ( ouch!) and it bled some - but mostly its creating a scab and quite dry.

Questions
Is this the usual length of time for healing to happen?
Should I apply another coating of Cansema when it arrives?
Is it OK to get it wet? I'd love to go swimming.
Is it best to cover or not ( I need to - for going to work)
anything else I could be doing for it?

I really appreciate your comments.
Cbelle

Thanks Anivoc! I'm waiting for my next batch of Cansema - and yes the last lot were from reliable and good source. I've also been told by another user to let it rest for awhile before applying and let it do its thing - there is more bleeding and changes. I'll take my holiday next week and do when I return.

Just from own experience I am going to guess your Cansema lost some power. I have a jar of my bloodroot paste ( different brand) that I have had for 5 years closed up and it is still moist...something isn't right with your paste

The key difference I see from when I used my bloodroot paste is the color of the lesion.

In 24 hours everything was white....the tumor had been killed by white blood cells..

Your's just looks annoyed, not dead.

Hopefully you bought your cansema from the REAL cansema seller and when you get your next batch you'll get the reaction you are supposed to get...

The other thing is, though it does look like a nodular basal cell tumor...it may not be, it may be some other kind of growth. If it is not a cancer tumor the bloodroot paste may not be effective in eradicating it.

Good Luck!
