Posted - 03/18/2015 : 06:46:13 I came across this forum about a year ago because after a period of intense stress I had a small (size of little finger nail) red itchy and sometime scaly patch on the back of my neck, and a crusty, yellowish patch on my (mainly bald) head. I went to the Dr who referred me to a derm, he suggested the neck was a BCC and the head was AK, I am 37 BTW and although I've been sunburnt, I live in England so that tells you something about the amount of sun exposure in my lifetime. The derm prescribed aldara for both, I never collected the prescription because I wasn't convinced by his diagnosis (never biopsied), plus I didn't like the sound of Aldara.
I went home and researched both conditions before trying iodine on the BCC for a few weeks which didn't work. I then tried Petty Spurge which we have growing wild in the garden, and after two attempts this disappeared some months ago with no sign of returning. For the AK I tried ACV, being in a more noticeable position I wanted to try a gentler approach. I thought I had it after a few weeks but it came back and over a couple months and turned into a crusty yellowish patch about the size of your forefinger nail. At this point I was ready for Petty Spurge and a week or so off work, I just wanted rid of it.
Then I stumbled across urine therapy online and immediately ordered John Armstrong's book. Before this was even delivered I wanted to try it so I pee'd on a tissue and dabbed it onto the AK 2-3 times a day. After a couple of days the crust appeared to have risen slightly and was more white than yellow. At this point my wife had noticed a difference too so I let her in on the secret, luckily she whole heartedly approved! Over the next few days, when I got home from work, I soaked a cotton pad in urine and placed it on the AK, making sure it was kept wet, and left it there for 3-4 hours per evening, removing before bed. After 3-4 days of this it had risen more and was looking like it might just fall off soon. Then I had a shower and very carefully dried my head afterwards, at this point the AK scab thing was very moist (I had soaked it in urine for 3-4 hours before the shower) so very carefully I wiped it with a tissue. To my surprise it came straight off, it left behind a fairly sore looking patch but this was unmistakeably new skin.
The book then arrived and I read it in two days eager to know more, and continued to use urine most evenings. Now a month on it is just a small red patch which looks much like a little scar. Incidentally I did have a scar here from banging my head a few years previously.
Now as I said I wasn't convinced by the derm so maybe I didn't have AL or BCC but whatever it was this seems to have worked so far. For anyone who's interested I would urge you to read up as much as possible - this therapy has been around for thousands of years and has been used for countless conditions but sometimes reading it yourself is enough to convince you to give it a try. After all it's free!
Be good to hear from others who have tried, please feel freeto ask questions I'm happy to help where possible.
