Hi All

I'm new to the forum and have been searching your pages to try and find a cure for AK which has started spreading on my legs. I'm pretty sure that this is the skin condition i have and must say I am somewhat freaked..especially knowing that there may be more lurking and they can turn cancerous.

I am 36 years old, grew up in sunny QLD although I have lived in the much less sunny UK for the past 12 years. I am an avid applier of suncream though did have a couple of burns as as a child. I have noticed what I believe to be AK's in places that have never been sun exposed...like my under arms and a small one near my breast ( no I didn't go topless :) ). So I do wonder if it is actually sun related, or if once you have it in your system - the lesions can appear anywhere?

I started applying the ACV solution to one leg ( the tee shirt approach). I must admit it has freaked me out big time - lots of other little red marks have appeared on the surface ( which i understand may be other AK's lurking). I think i might just try treating a couple first and see what happens before continuing with the T shirt method. On the other leg I have been trying coconut oil to a few lesions.

I have also started eating a lot healthier (loads of greens, salmon, omega 3 tablet, home juicing, taking astaxanthin, ACV and coconut oil) in an attempt to increase the antioxidants in my body.

I do admit to having a sweet tooth, so I have tried to eradicate processed sugar from my diet. I know however that a lot of fruit ( although full of vitamins) can create sugar spikes...is this something to be concerned of as I have been juicing quite a bit of fruit (watermelon with cucumber daily as well as a banana and berry smoothie? Another frequent concoction is apple, celery, carrot, ginger and celery juice.

Just wondering if anyone has noticed improvements to there skin lesions by taking other supplements. I read the article by envisage (who only made the one post) who was an avid believer in taking L -carnitine 500mg, Alpha Lipoic Acid 500mg, CoQ10 100mg. Is this a good place to start? I think I would like to try and tackle from the inside out ( nautally) and see what happens.. a room smelling of ACV and all these additional lesions are not the most appealing.

Thanks for your time, and I promise to post when (/if :) ) I find what actually works for me.

Stay healthy

Best wishes
Nic
