Posted - 10/15/2015 : 10:38:13 Using some frankincense oil on dark spot I've had since born on my belly. Its shrunk in half so far in 2 weeks time. |

Posted - 08/11/2015 : 16:03:05 the oil i use tends to dry fairly quickly so I re-apply in 10 min if its dry again. I do that once or twice.
More burning tonight with more skin sloughing off. I did a small session before i went for a run. I'll clean it off after I shower and do lotion. |

Posted - 08/11/2015 : 07:47:05 about 20-30 minutes. Similar to orange oil. This morning I could see the red lesion area was a little smaller and old skin was peeling off. Definitely working. In the a.m. I apply some to the area with a cotton swab and make a wet bandaid (soak the pad with it) then put the bandaid on and a hat and go to work. Mild burining for about an hour then it stops. Around lunch time i'll remove it, clean the site and apply some gold bond healing lotion. |

Posted - 08/10/2015 : 21:08:04 Hi Dougrun, how long does the pain last before it subsides? |

Posted - 08/10/2015 : 18:08:54 tonight's frankincense treatment is burning like crazy, almost unbearable. I wonder if my use of DMSO with it saturday amplified it? I certainly made the redness area bigger. I also ate a dinner with some turmeric in it so that may be in my blood at the moment. The outer skin of the lesion is turning white (like its dead and peeling).
Pain is subsiding now. I'll let it calm down then apply some lotion later. |

Posted - 08/07/2015 : 12:29:15 no, this is my main lesion that im trying to heal that I used the Vitamin C on. The undiagnosed one i used curaderm on then oils is gone, just left a slightly lighter color mark than what was there before, kinda like it "melted". Nicer to look at. No bump left on that. That pic is http://www.phototiming.com/dl/face.jpg its the slightly darker colored line. |

When you say lesion is it the same one you used the Curaderm on that had the bump mentioned above that you later used Rosemary on and it went away?

Posted - 07/20/2015 : 08:46:25 I had a pre-squamous patch i applied some Curaderm to but it scabbed over too much to after 3 days of that, i let the scab heal. The scab peeled off niceley. I could feel a little lump under it. I read about frankincense and rosemary oils. Tried F first, not much change. Tried Rosemary and the bump is now gone after 2-3 soakings! |

Posted - 07/01/2013 : 19:26:20 Thanks for the question, casunlover!
The treatment described in the link is
The current protocol for treating skin cancer is the following (using a 1/2 and 1/2 mixture of the two oils):
1) Frankincense with Idaho Balsam Fir (3 days); 2) Frankincense with Tsuga (3 days); 3) Frankincense with Ledum (3 days); 4) Frankincense with Lavender (3 days); 5) Frankincense with clove, which may make the skin burn, so skip this step for cancer on the face (3 days); 6) Frankincense with Sandalwood (3 days); 7) Repeat cycle as needed.
The exact number of times the oils should be put on the skin cancer is up to the patient and their situation, but may range from 3 to 12 times a day.
I have not heard of anyone trying this essential oil combo yet at this forum. It seems a little elaborate but if it works it would be worth it. The topicalinfo forum search feature here works well and lists about 10 pages that mention frankincense. I am a believer in topical essential oils with good luck treating my own skin cancers using orange and rosemary oils which contain the terpene d-limonene. Frankincense also contains terpenes https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frankincense People also mention thyme and oregano oils for skin cancers so it looks like there are more essential oil candidates than reviews at this point, so be sure to write up any experiences. |
