I placed a very small amount of Effudex on a small dry patch on my cheek bone and another one on my forehead , after 5 days of treatment the redness has spread covering my cheek and half my forehead with small blisters appearing. Under my eye it is bright red and swollen. To my horror I have just found out that Effudex is a chemotherapy drug. Everything I read tells me it will get a lot worse before getting better around 6 weeks. I would like to cease treatment. Does any one have information on the success of natural treatments eg Curaderm.......Thanks

Hi Zac, that is my sons name. I know of plenty of people who have used efudex and say that they would use it again. As I type this, I am sitting here with a zipper on my temple. Ten stitches, co-pay, lost time from work, some pain, but not as bad as I thought it would be. I think that you should continue the treatment. I plan on doing the same as soon as the weather cools down. I think the main thing is, is to not let things get out of control. The doctor could not even see my bcc, but took way more flesh than I ever thought that they would. Do me and everybody here a favor though, keep posting so that we can get more traffic on this site. Good luck
