I have just completed 17 days of Efudex applied to my forehead, cheeks and bottom half of my nose. I'm now using a cortisone-steroid cream (Advantan) twice a day on affected area. What reactions should I expect over the next few weeks?

You can but its a little tricky. You will go often withour shaving. I did Efudex on face, ears and neck 6 years ago. I did it for close to 5 weeks which is 2 to 3 weeks longer than most people posting on these forums. Though it was a bear to make it thru 5 weeks there are huge advantages. I read about many people going back for subsequent treatments. I probably won't see Efudex for 4 more years. And actually, I wish I did 6 weeks. There was a spot on my neck that lit up. Ends up that a year ago it was ID'd as melanoma. I think if I did the Efudex for 6 weeks I would not have needed the surgery to remove the melanoma.
