There are three main types of skin cancer: basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma and melanoma. Skin cancer symptoms can be different depending on the type of skin cancer that strikes you. Symptoms of basal cell carcinoma is usually detected on the face, ears and scalp. You may notice a lump or pearl shaped like a candle, or a flat scar with a skin colored or brown.
