It is confimed. That spot on my face is cancer. And it has friends - meaning that I have more spots than I thought. Fortunately it is the non-melanoma type. It the well known Basal cell cancer. But I am scared anyway. I am afraid of going through surgery because of the horror stories. And I am afraid of the bloodroot, sunspot es. pdq Herbal, etc. because of the horrific pictures I have seen on the internet.

I am glad I found this forum and I am looking for support. The most inoffensive "cure" I have seen is from broccoli juice topical application. It seems to be popular in New Zealand and I must say the 2 picture testimonial I have seen are quite convincing. In both cases the problem was much MUCH worse than mine and the healing occured within a few months without any pain at all. I cannot direct you to a website about it since I received it as a PDF file. Dr. Rozencwajg wrote the document. Ever heard of it?

Anyway I,ll be back on the forum after I educate myself more.

What happens if it melanoma?

The horse ***** comment makes me feel hopeless. I looked online two weeks ago and the photos my spots look like melanoma I have no health insurance I am looking for options tomorrow. I am my disabled daughter's care giver she depends on me what will she do when I am gone. Tomorrow I will pay up to a dermatologist. I am terrified what the news will be.

aabbynormal/Judy:

Your earlier post confuses me somewhat.

Before you discovered Cymilium, why didn't you just choose radiation for treatment? Even though it has a few side effects, it is much less invasive than surgery. In addition, radiation does not require the use of medicine.

Hi everyone. Six days ago, I had a 6-7 yr old pencil eraser size BBC removed off of the top of my nose. It was done by a plastic surgeon and today he took the stitches out. It looks great! Immediately after he removed it it was sent to Pathology and it came back that he got it all. He said it was very deep and I can honestly say, I was a nervous wreck for nothing. The worst pain and it wasn't even that bad was the needle going in to numb the area. Three seperate needles for numbing and by the time I got the 2nd needle I barely felt that as the numbing already started ...the worst I have now is a wrinkle across the bridge of my nose where he had to pull the skin. He said the hole was very deep. I only felt soreness for approx 2-3 hours and the next day itching as it started to heal. It was so big I had 6 stitches in that area. Like I said, I dreaded having it taken care of but was scared for nothing.

My advice for anyone, don't wait. Get it taken off before it gets too big. I was foolish and waited. Now to get rid of the big crease I might need botox or micro something or other which my insurance doesn't cover at about 200.00.

He checked my face for other possible and said it looked fine. He said the chance of a recurrance is 5% possibly on this same one. God knows what I will do then.

hi all, aabby here. the one who is allergic to almost everything, and cant use any meds except baby aspirn. [3 max] the drs told me years ago western medicine was just not for me, so there i sat, skin cancer eating up my nose.. no surgery options unless i want to do things wide awake and with no numbing agents.. which was starting to cross my mind... but when you enter a dr office with my list of allergies, they freak.. i have been to the best in theses many years of mine..
i wasnt too thrilled when the skin cancer appeared, tried to nip it quick, but nope, it wanted to hang around and worsen.. really frustrated the dr's, but left them unable to do anything except tell me to seek a natural treatment if any were around..
i dont know why i had to have it, lets see, sun exposer, dark hair, blue eyes, fare skinned, lived at beach in younger years before the word sun screen was invented.. so i have it, dealt with it as well as possible, wrote my will and moved on searching..
i might have tried horse crap if it would sooth the pain and throbbing. i didnt care about the appearance anymore, all i wanted was for the pain to go away so i could do daily stuff with my husband and grand son..i would have a few hours til the baby aspirn reached its max...my husband prayed, and most of the time i would fall asleep, other times i would just fall asleep from the exhaustion of the throbbing.. so i searched the net..found this site. tried a few things which made it worse.. it might have helped others, but not me for some reason. out of one more final attempt of despertion, i got the cymilium..and it worked. it is still working, and my nose is clearing up... it is distorted, but who in the heck cares... the most important thing is, the pain and throbbing left...it doesnt hurt to laugh now, before if i cracked a smile, it would bleed or ooze...and then throb.. yahoo..
3 months now it has been healing.. so i am thankful, greatful, and feel blessed.. it worked for me, the allergic to air person.
i feel totally blessed that i seldom get anything but an occassional cold, no accidents, God has kept His eyes on me for 60 years.. so i cant completely complain about the skin cancer...

so to make a simple message longer... some things work for some people and some dont.. i cant tell everyone to get the cym. and i cant use some of the things that has worked for others..but we are all in this together, so encouragment is good, and maybe , like me, one of these treatments will work.. :-)
by the way, i have pictures

Hi folks
I have great news for you. I have been using PDQ Herbal Cream for about 5 years and it has saved my life. I started with a large, oozing melanoma on my head that would have taken me into serious surgery. Instead I decided to wait and put the cream on every day for over a month. It took a long time but it eventually healed over and has not come back for 5 years. I have since used it on my face and it always works. I am especially glad that I have used it successfully around my eyes and on my eyelids. Since my parents had parts of their faces removed due to skin cancer, I am so grateful for this cream and the fact that I have not a scar on my face from these treatments.
When I first apply the cream, it can be very painful. The area first turns red and can then swell or blister, depending on the severity. Sometimes it is only slightly red. If it does blister, it takes a few days before a scab forms and it begins to heal. The healing takes me about a week. Yes, it looks awful for a week. But then the scabs fall off and I have brand new skin.
I cannot recommend this product enough. I am quite sure I would have lost parts of my nose, ears and eyelids to surgery where it not for pdq. It has saved me thousands of dollars and taken the fear of skin cancer out of my life.
They are a religious organization and also pray for me. What a blessing

For any of these topicals to really kill the full tumor ( large BCC) you are going to get scared albeit not much worse than the doctors knife.

I just finished off a small nasty BCC on my forehead with sunspot es using it in the way you use curaderm ( covered with 3m tape after each application I also mixed it with vitamin e cream so it wouldn't dry out) it went deep and left @ 1/2" circular scar . Much less painful than Bloodroot though.

Yes, It was out of line. I think it is the frustration of this xxxing Carac Cream on my face. It burns and itches relentlesly. I have 6 more days left, but I am seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. I see some nice new skin under all that peeling. So far not a fan of the process, but I will do it again if it will stop me haveing to use the cryo or the scalpel. I am tired of the scaring. My blessings and prayers are with all of you. I really am a nice guy, but like I said just frustrated with this mess that I got myself into. I hope with my website I can detour others from makeing the same mistakes that I did.

Jimbo

I appreciate where you're at because I'm there too.. At least we're still breathing.

I encourage you to share your thoughts, opinions and ideas but the horse crap comment was out of line and I felt compelled to call you on it. No harm no foul. If you see mention of a known red flag ..call it. Good or bad news share it. The fact that you took the effort to share your own experience online speaks well of you and I hope you continue to participate here.

Jimbo61...I think the main thing to remember here is every one is different
and not every treatment works for every one..It would be nice if every one could take a little white pill before bed wake up in the morning and the problem was gone..

I have said this many many times and I hope people will listen to this

"TRY DIFFRENT THINGS TO FIND OUT WHAT WORKS BEST FOR YOU"

Not every thing talked about on this site will work for every one ..Start out with the least invasive things and work your way up...
If I had to only pick one thing to start with I would start with sunspot cream and go from there...
The last things I would try would be bloodroot paste,Fluorouracil cream, and radiation in that order...

Jimbo61 ...I know the Carac cream must be very painful ..I am sure you would not be using the Carac cream if other things had worked for you....I really hope the Carac cream works for you...

Jimbo61 Posted - 09/17/2007 : 15:39:27
My comment was not meant to be arrogant. I to have used flouricil/Effudex years ago. In order for it to be effective it must be used(according to many Deramatologist) every couple of years. Unfortunately this is the hand we were all dealt with. I appologize if I affended anyone. I have tried many of these remedies and all it gave me was false hope. I have speant countless hour on computer researching optional or so called cures from insect repellent to ammonia and all the rest mentioned on these sights. All they did was allow my BCC's to grow larger and require more invasive removals. On a side note.....BCC's are not necesssarily the "safe" kind of Cancer. A dear friend had a small BCC on her forehead and it invaded her nerves, muscles, and lymph. She ended up haveing numerous radiation treatments and several surgeries and this was ONLY a Basil Cell Carcinoma. All I was trying to do was get your attention (and I did) to think twice before using these "remedies". Again I appologize for my so called arrogance.

Alls I have to say about this is it does not take a friggin genius
to look at the pictures of people who have used Fluorouracil cream, Carac or Efudex cream and see that they are going though a living hell with this treatment...

Chemo chemicals probably have killed alot more people than they saved...I have yet to read about any one who has had a 100% cure from skin cancer from using Fluorouracil cream, Carac or Efudex cream...
There are many things on this site that will work just as good if not better than burning the crap out of your skin with chemo chemicals...
Dermatologist are not all good or bad...But they all have their hands tied behind their backs by institutionalized medicine..

Many many Deramatologist run people through their office as fast as possible chasing the dollar and thats a fact my friends...

If you have a lot of skin problems and your not rich with a ton of time on your hands to be going to the Deramatologist all the time..You will have to help your self and study on your own..This is another fact my friends..
As soon as you realize Deramatologist are not gods the better off you will be...I am also not saying all Deramatologist are bad either...

Jim your post is insulting and arrogant.

This site is here for people like yourself to work together to seek a better solution than "Carac" cream or Bloodroot paste. Both work but with side effects. We are on the path to better solutions. I went to your site and read your blog and congratulations that you won over your BCC's. You've been through hell but so have many other people on this site. As you well know you are not done and the battle will go on.
It would seem someone like you would be every bit as hopeful as the others on this board to find a better solution than todays leech and blood letting methods. But instead you throw a comment like your Horse Crap.
More or less saying because your are a certified massage therapist who has been through skin cancer treatments you are wiser than all of the rest of us here.

You are not.

"Find a good dermatologist" If it were only that easy. Why didn't your good dermatologist laser your tumors off? Do you know why? Does he?

As I posted on your other post Carac cream is just another brand name for fluorouracil cream. You responded back with Carac cream is only 5%. Like that set it apart.

Fluorouracil cream, Carac or Efudex all can be bought in a 5% cream.

Fluorouracil cream is yesterdays news and not that great of a happy shiny news in the end. I was using it close to 15 years ago. A " Good dermatologist" told me 5 years later that I should think twice about using it because recent studies have found that it may actually cause future skin cancers.. Great news eh?

So maybe you should take your Horse crap solution and try it. I can safely say it is at least as safe as your "Carac Cream"

Hey! I have an idea....try rubbing horse crap on your face. I hear that gets rid of skin cancer. Here is my advice to all of you...take it or leave it. Find a good Deramatologist and discuss options. I have had over 20+ BCC's taken off my body and face. I have heard all these remedies and I must admit I have tried a few. I am currently undergoing Carac Cream on my face for AK's to help prevent BCC's. I am about as holistic as you can get. But there is one thing that I don't mess with and that's my skin (the largest organ of your body). I am a Massage Therapist by trade and Aromatherapist and am also training in Energy Healing. I use my knowledge in these fields in conjunction with my Deratologist. So please, please, please, go and see a Dermatologist for anything suscpicious. For anyone who wants to see what it looks like to go through the Topical Chemo treatment check out my web site

There is a chemist in Venezuela called Prof. David Martucci, who recently received US Patent no. 7141251, in which he describes cases of skin and other cancers treated with his low pH compounds.

To my knowledge, there is limited clinical testing in Venezuela at this time. Martucci has a website: www.cytorex.com

Any thoughts?

Dan, you are so helpful, thank you so much and bless your heart. I went to the site on cimetadine and that was possibly great news. I have been so conerned abotuut this cancer coming back even after this surgery that I have been beside myself. This gives me something to try. Also, I just started using DMSO with the broccoli, essiac tea, brown algae, olive oil, broccoli sprouts and flax seed oil I am trying on my husband's ear. I have also just started to put all this on the tumor itself which surround my husband's ear (duh). It seems I just keep having realizations as I go along and wonder why I didn't think of this or that earlier but I am guess I am just where I am. And, thank you so much again, all of you for any and all of your wonderful thoughts. gb
dan Posted - 06/15/2007 : 00:42:40
Grabec, thanks for the update. It looks like you have researched many options and now have a solid plan with your doctors. You also have a lot of people praying for you and your husband. Take a deep breath, I think you are doing great!

I noticed in the original topical broccoli thread that although it was impressively effective, it really took quite a long time to work. Something like 5 to 9 months. I think it is reasonable to look for ways to speed the healing and/or extend the reach of the treatment. Either DMSO or orange oil are often used for those purposes. Both DMSO and orange oil (d-limonene) are potential anticancer agents by themselves. See http://www.bccancer.bc.ca/PPI/UnconventionalTherapies/DimethylSulfoxideDMSO.htm and http://www.pubmedcentral.nih.gov/articlerender.fcgi?artid=1470060 I know both can go through tissue but bone is probably a stretch.

Another thing I had in mind was to consider taking cimetidine (Tagamet) a week before and a few days after cancer surgeries. This has been shown in colon cancer surgeries to prevent the displaced cancer cells from successfully lodging in a new location. See http://www.lef.org/magazine/mag2007/may2007_report_cimetidine_01.htm

OK guys, I am the lady who has the husband with the bcc that started on his ear, had it taken off, it came back, had Mohs, it came back, had radiation, it came back and now we find out that it has gone into the bone around his ear and is very life threatneing. Finally got into a surgeon who will do this surgery and it is going to take a team of them, head, nose and throat surgeon, neurologist and a person to do the "flap" for the hole it is going to leave when they remove his ear. I am totally freaked out that it has taken us so long to find people who can do this serious and "tricky" of a surgery but the 28th we are headed to Salt Lake City. Now, in the meantime I have been putting broccoli (put through a juicer)mixed with tumeric, olive oil, flax seed oil, essiac tea, COQ10 and now brown algae, about everything I can think of that I have read about. I was wondering about putting a bit of DMSO to make it go into the bone around my husban'd ear to see if the penetration would be better. Have no idea what I am doing but that is the protocol for now. Probably dumb considering they are goint to completely take his ear off soon but now I am concentrating on the bone area around it which is where this has gotten so bad. give me some throughts guys. Quite an odyssey these last few days and keeping my "panic" in check has been a full time, minute by minute job. Thanks, gb

Good luck brother.. we are all in the same mess here so I hope we can find a easier, more sure fire way than what we have so far.

Sunspot will leave NO scarring or holes in your skin..Pdq I have not used but it looks to me like it will leave minimal scarring, compared to bloodroot..
